I wish I had more time to stay here, as I stopped on my way out of town. I know that doesn't make any sense right stop at a welcome center on your way out?!
This wasn't my first time in Hocking Hills and with a long girls' weekend, we were pretty planned before we hit town.
I stopped to drop off our entry forms for a shopping and seeing the local establishment contest, a superb idea to get people out and about and maybe to stumble on a shop they didn't know of.
I wish I could remember the delightful lady working the counter on the Sunday I stopped in. She was just as kind as every person we met in Logan. We chatted about the gorgeous plants in the center, our trip, and the contest. I promised I would stop there first if we won, and I was back in the next few months.
The building is clean and packed with information, public restrooms and even bumper stickers to take for your favorite car topper or cooler. Until next time...
Read moreStopping here is a must even if you have been to Hocking Hills before. Brand new loaded HH Guides and other brochures are published each year. Explore Hocking Hills does an amazing job with these! The folks who work there give lots of help answering questions.
There are restrooms here (always good to know where they are located in HH), and the Pencil Sharpener Museum is located right beside this building and is FREE.
Be sure to take your picture by the giant Explore Hocking Hills sign, too!

Read moreMake time to stop here if you're in the area. The staff were so kind and happy to answer questions or provide recommendations. They also gave the kids a folder with lots of fun games and activities in it including a nature scavenger hunt, outdoor bingo, and more. We also learned a little about butterfly weigh stations while we were here which was fun because we had just visited Butterfly Ridge.
