2nd Update on March 3rd @ noon: Giving the benefit of doubt that the last review was due to Christmas shopping. What is the excuse & how does a store exist being operated dysfunctionally? Obviously there is something wrong with how this store runs with the current customers. I just don't understand why all these customers allow to shop & operate this way. Was thinking to get something from the food court to see 80+ people waiting for food. Then the two lines to get out, was pushed all the way back for yet another 8~ to exit. Should be a fire risk without enough staff to handle the amount of customers. Can't wait to be done with my membership that I can only handle going a few times a year. Ugh! Tried the one in Parker, almost as bad I've given up on Costco. Update a year later 11/17/23, Friday @ 10:30 AM (Last Picture). Sad to say, things haven't gotten better & probably worse. Last two times lines go back to end of store (15 mins). People cursing in line. Then broken into two long lines, where people with full carts doing self checkout, because the lines are too bad. Then by the time to checkout stands, a number of them are closed? WT? Poor: Setup, Management, Costco leadership to have this known issue to happen even a year later. No Thanks! đŸ˜« Poorly staffed without enough check stands open/blocked. On a Sunday the line kid you not goes all the way to the back of the store. People complaining & walking away from their full carts. Picture proof

This is our go-to grocery store, lots of food selections and random stuff like camping/couches. Since mid year last year, it all went down, book aisles disappeared. When asked, a staff told me that books don’t sell well, instead, they expanded their alcohol selections. Every single time when I was at Costco, I see people browsing and buying books. Let’s move on to food quality. A few times that I have purchased raw food from Costco, I noticed they have a funky smell. Expired? Nope. Not sure what’s going on here but I will let it slide. However, TWICE now I have noticed boxes of Madeline are still being sold when they are long past the use by date. The first time (2022), I brought it up to the front desk manager. I was told “we are not perfect.” That is understandable. What’s shocking is today I went to the store and there they are, another expired batch that is still being sold in store and some of them are already moldy! It’s time to upgrade your inventory system! Lastly, as mentioned by many other shoppers, every single time the store is packed, not to mention the parking is a nightmare! You’d think checkout takes forever, then at least you are done. Nope! The receipt-checking people really do take their time too! So apart from needing a better inventory system, getting what Sam’s club has will do you good - a receipt and item scanning machine!

I went to the #CostcoOptical in the #LonetreeColorado for the first time ever. I was extremely impressed... with my experience. I've always used other optical stores, to be totally honest in this review... I assumed that in a desperate situation, after loosing my glasses...and it was a Saturday. When I called for an appointment to see their eye doctor, I was able to get in right away. The doctor and the staff were fantastic, thorough, and extremely professional. I also was able to find a beautiful pair of designer framed glasses. There was a large selection of great frames from some less expensive to a little bit more, but still reasonable priced designer framed glasses, The prices were great, depending of what you're looking for according to your budget. I was very happy with the staff that was so helpful and patient with me.... (I'm pretty picky, and very selective customer) about whatever I wear... #Costco When I picked-up my glasses right after the Labor Day weekend, in only a few seconds they were ready, and perfectly completed the (1st time) I didn't need to come back, and I always have to come back at least twice to get another fitting of my new glasses. What a time saver, and what a easy experience. The staff is a very experienced & knowledgeable team.

I have been shopping at this Costco for over a year now. I loved this location, at first. But in the last couple of months it’s gone WAY down hill. The staff is disrespectful/rude, their behavior/attitude is ridiculous, they listen to respond rather than listening to understand, and are consistently accusatory towards customers. A few trips ago I went in to Costco an hour before closing. 20 min before closing, multiple employees started yelling, like they were drill sergeant’s, at customers to head to the front to leave. I understand the staff wanting to leave work on time, we all do. But there’s multiple ways to respectfully ensure customers leave in a timely fashion. On top of the yelling, I had an employee following me as I was making my way to the front. While doing this he was questioning me “why are you in this aisle? Well what do you need? You’re not suppose to be here?”. All while I was still is an aisle that was considered “open”. My next time in the store, my boyfriend and I accidentally ran in to the corner of a clothes table with our cart. The pile of clothes fell and we picked them up trying to place them back nicely where they belong. I get it sucks to keep those tables nice so we attempted to correct our mistake. We made eye contact with an employee near by and she gave us the nastiest look. Since she did that and found it okay, we stopped what we’re doing and carried on. Why would we continue to help after how disrespectful she was?? Then we went to check out and the lady who was helping us pull things out of our cart was literally throwing our items on to the register and looked pissed off. Meanwhile, there was a register behind us where an employee was being very disrespectful to another customer. Even the person at that register was uncomfortable with her coworker. The customer had a picture of the cost of the item she was purchasing. However this employee was questioning her like it was an interrogation, asking her questions then ignoring her, was giving her attitude as if she was stealing, called an employee through her radio, still didn’t believe it, and pulled the customer out of line to triple check on a computer near by. I understand Costco has been really trying to save money by checking to make sure every item was purchased. If I was a business owner, I would do the same. But my goodness, it’s not TSA. And accusing your customers of stealing when they are paying a large amount of money to shop at your business, is insane to me. I am a strong believer that the customer is NOT always right, there are some Karen’s out in the world with huge egos. But what happened to customer service? If you’re having a bad day, keep it to yourself when your working instead of taking it out on your customers. Im flabbergasted by the way Costco is allowing their employees to behave. I used to love going to costco and enjoy how awesome the employees were. But now I’m questioning even having a...

I’ve been a member for 20 years and have lived in many different places in the states. This is the worst Costco I’ve ever been to. So that I have to leave a review for a Costco for the first time. It’s the closest Costco to me, but I have to avoid as much as possible.

I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt too many times. Finally I conclude it’s not coincidence. Something must be wrong with the management.

Some examples: It’s my first time noticing price I paid for an item wasn’t what was shown by the price tag in store. I found it out when I was back at home. I bought a lot of the same products because I love it and it was selling with a great discount. Otherwise I wouldn’t notice it wasn’t as advertised. Anyway, I called and Michael (IIRC) confirmed I was paying for the wrong price after I gave him the item number. He told me to go to the warehouse to get refund and mention his name if necessary. So far so good. But at the store, there was this lady (Yoyo or Jojo IIRC) gave me a headache. She didn’t believe my story and said Michael was on vacation. Repeatedly saying it’s impossible. Treated me as I was lying. Refused to talk to a manager at first saying she’s the acting manager being in charge. After 20 mins, she finally called her manager over. The manager was able to track down the correct price and proved I was correct. Jojo went ahead to process the refund without saying anything. No apologies or explanation. I asked after she handed me the receipt why she wasn’t able to find what the manager could in the system. She said the manager had more access. That’s it! Still no apologies or anything for how I was treated earlier.

Just recently went in to store to return something. A lady who appeared to be somewhat inexperienced claimed I had to show receipt for stuff bought online and that she would not able to search online order in the system. Obviously that’s not true because I’ve done that many times at various Costco before. I didn’t challenge her. Just spent few mins looking up my online order receipt and be done with it.

And I’m done with this Costco. I am not giving it 1 star just because...

Costco is usually AMAZING. But today, we had a really bad experience with an employee who was tasked with scanning for the self checkout. She was initially preoccupied having a personal conversation with another employee, didn't greet us or anything. (I was directed to her register, or I would've gone elsewhere due to her apparent distraction.) She began scanning our items but pushed the cart into me, resulting in my leg touching the area where you would normally place your items. She scoffed and then proceeded to lecture me on not leaning on the scale, angrily canceled the transaction and began over again after barking "card" and then stating "you can't do that." (I had 9 items total, so it wasn't a huge transaction or anything, and I'm not 100% certain why one would have to cancel the transaction and begin again.) I swiped my card, put in my PIN, and then the light began flashing and the screen prompted something along the lines of "Please wait for assistance." I looked at her and asked what I needed to do, she threw up her hands and said "I don't help you with anything. I'm just here to scan." So I pushed a few buttons, figured it out on my own, finally got a receipt to print and walked away without another word from her. I was so disappointed by how rude she was, as this has honestly never been my experience at Costco before. I was shopping with my toddler who didn't care to socialize with her, so not sure if that put her off, but that level of "customer service" is completely unacceptable. Every other employee there has always been so kind and friendly, usually even outgoingly accommodating with the toddler. This trip felt yuck because of one...
