Ramen Hub & Sushi - Long Beach — Restaurant in Long Beach

This place has been on my list for the longest time and seeing how the weather has been colder lately, I decided it would be a perfect time to come and try it.

When I first walked in here, I was a little confused. I thought this was the kind of place where you wait to be seated but I quickly realized it was not. You have to go order with a cashier and are then given a number to put at your table for your food to be brought to you.

The cashier who helped me was really patient with me and explained to me what items are most recommended and popular. I find this always helps me to make a decision when eating somewhere new. I went with the Tonkotsu Ramen as he told me that it was one of the most ordered things there. I figure it is one of those items on the menu you can never go wrong ordering. I also ordered one of their potato tornadoes with Cajun seasoning, one of the items on the happy hour menu.

Something I did not really like was that I had to pay extra to make it spicy. As someone who really loves eating spicy food, I have never encountered this before anywhere else, I feel like it's something that should be free of charge.

The ramen, though not the biggest portion, was still not that bad. It had a lot of flavor and a fair amount of noodles, enough to leave me feeling satisfied and not hungry after the meal. What really stood out to me was the broth, it had a really unique flavor and I was glad I went with this option. The tornado was also really good; the potatoes were nice and crispy and seasoned perfectly, not bad for only 2$.

As I sat and waited for my food, I noticed how busy this place is. There was a constant flow of people coming in to order for takeout and also to pick up for delivery. It was and felt quite packed as the workers hustled around the restaurant running food and preparing orders. Props to them.

The good! El Diablo Crunch Roll(spicy) was tasty, and nothing like the name entails. Was not spicy at all... Thank you for discounts for Military, Fire & Police!🙏

Ramen was disappointing! Shoyu & Tonkatsu both were watered down with no flavor! 🥺 Chicken had no seasoning and just a piece of thin bland meat🫣 The pork was marginally better...

Chicken Karage🤔 Karage traditionally is never made with tempura style poofy breading and lacked any seasoning... The sauce was too watery...

Chashu bun Tasty sauce, but meat with no seasoning and a steamed bun that seemed under done and had no texture...

Gyoza Request for extra crispy outside was perfect, but the inside seemed not done enough, and needed more cooking

Your website is deceiving, leading one to believe the ramen is of high quality, but not what we experienced... Can't recommend the Long Beach place, and might be acceptable to others, but was...

Me and my family loved coming here a lot. Until this past Friday we ordered to go and the lack of service to receive our order was ridiculous. You have 3 people in the bagging area. People who ordered after me received their order before me because the bagging area was too busy talking to each other drinking soda. I had went up and asked a lady worker that passed by and I said excuse me is my order ready? She replied yes it just needs to be bagged by the bagging people and she walked away to refill her cup with more soda. She comes back and looks like I guess I lll bag the order she then starts bagging my order. My food had been ready for a while I’ve seen the workers physically look at my order receipt and walked away. Another worker saw me waiting and said can I help you I said no after my order is now being handled. Me and my family go home we eat I didn’t feel like the food sit right with me. I had diarrhea non stop every 30mins and so did my fiancé. My fiancée food poisoning wasn’t as bad as mine I slept only two hours and went on myself. I’ve never been so embarrassed.
