La Taqueria Brand-Bixby Knolls — Restaurant in Long Beach

This place is in a nice location, and their queso birrias are amazing. I hate to put a bad review, but it's something that's happened multiple times already. My girlfriend likes her tacos plain, and we've mobile ordered and even called a couple times. We get a 30 minute lunch, and love this spot, but most times we have to order ahead and pick up due to time. this is a third time we've gotten our order wrong by not receiving her tacos plain. the first two times, we called and she specifically asked for them plain. She would even reiterate and ask, "you got those tacos plain, right?" and they would respond with a yes. We come and pick them up only for her tacos to not be plain. I understand we can get our order fixed, but because of the time crunch, we can't. Even then, you should always get the order right the first time, we shouldn't have to come back and wait like C'mon. We used the app today, and she clearly selected plain. She walked up to the window and double checked to make sure her tacos were plain. we got in the car and checked; they weren't. Because of something simple we might not come back anymore. The tacos are good...

I was super excited to see clearly labeled vegan options on the menu. I ordered one of each kind at $3 each: Vegan Pastor, Vegan Chorizo (come with potatoes), and Vegan Birria. The Birria taco was made with jackfruit and was me least favorite (but I'm admittedly pretty picky about jackfruit as not many folks can get it right). My fav was definitely the chorizo and potato taco and the pastor was good as well. I appreciated them informing me that the rice and beans are NOT vegan. But considering I only had 3 tacos, I was still pretty hungry afterwards but not enough impressed enough to buy more tacos. All in all, a decent option if you happen to stop...

Decided to come out by reviews and pictures of the place. Been here at Steelcraft before but first time trying out this place.

Food - preparation looks great, portions are decent and the taste is good but way too greasy.

Service - Not to much experience on that besides putting order in and that went well and food was ready at a prompt time.

Venue - Its a container located at steel craft, but eating area and bathrooms are clean so that's good.

Prices - A lil high but affordable.

Worth checking out but probably would go explore other places before...
