New Age Electronics — Attraction in Long Beach

Cannot imagine a worse experience. I ordered a REL S812. It arrived with terribly damaged packaging via FedEx. I called New Age Electronics and spoke Joshua, I doubt that’s his real name. I say this only because I’ve called a number of times and different voices claimed to be Joshua. The FedEx delivery person waited while I called. “Joshua” instructed me to take delivery in spite of the badly damaged box. He instructed me to remove it from the packing and connect it to my system. I immediately provided him with picture showing the damage to both the speaker enclosure as well as damage to the driver. He said he would provide a FedEx return label , which he did. He then offered to lower the price if I agreed to keep the damaged sub. As an alternative he said I could have the replacement delivered via motor freight at an additional charge of $350. I indicated I would prefer to get my money back. He explained that his margins are so thin he was already losing money on this transaction because of shipping and the AMEX fee to return my money. He then said I would be barred from any future purchases including any from his eBay site. Go figure, why would I buy again. I agreed to all of his terms in an email and instructed him to credit my AMEX. He said it would have to go to a dedicated department and it would take a week. These scumbags have hung up on three phone calls. Two weeks out and no refund . I started a dispute with AMEX which can take 6-8 weeks. This is a very unscrupulous dealer. I would implore anyone considering doing business here to avoid at all cost . Their attitude changed the moment there was a problem. Real dirt bags.
