Store Proprietor Rhapsody, who is a high priestess herself, (she likes to be called “Mama”), is an apothecary chemist who has what seems to be an unlimited supply of lotions potions powders resins oils herbs fragrances and essences that come from literally the four corners of the Earth and deep down below. You could swear that Rhapsody has a cure for a rainy day, certainly a spell to bring one on.

The rules of her store are quite simple: keep your voice down in case a tarot reading is in progress in the back, if you put anything on her glass counter make sure that a felt placemat is under it, do not put your hands in any jar, don’t touch other customers’ merchandise on the counter, and if you have any questions or not sure of something, ask.

If it’s spiritually related and no one else in the Los Angeles area or even in the Southland, for that matter, doesn’t have it, Rhapsody’s Points of Light Online most probably will have it, and in abundance.

I have been a regular at Points of LIght for years now. I love it. Having been to some other metaphysical stores, they often don't even have half the stuff that Points of Light carries, and they are packed to the roof with, well, just about everything.

The owner and manager Rhapsody is the real deal. She doesn't want to put up with other's peoples egos, especially if they just walk in the store and start acting like a princess and demanding the royal treatment. This isn't a chain shop with wage slaves working in it, it's a specialty metaphysical store, and you can often find things here that you can't find anywhere else, trust me, I've looked.

The owner makes a point of keeping her supply of stock up, and she often goes in person to select the stock and transport it, cutting her price for regular items most metaphysical practitioners use, from crystals, to candles. Every month has different items on sale, and when there are pracitioners present offering services, they are quite often skilled at their craft, from readings to metaphysical healing, to instructional classes on metaphysical topics.

She is also always brewing up something, either an oil, soap, incense. Sometimes it s tried and true formula that a lot of regulars purchase, sometimes it's something new that she just wanted to play with, and encourage regulars or experienced to test run in the field. She is very much about practical magic and getting results that will help...

Rhapsody is magnetic, genuine, REAL and not for the weak sheeple. I love this store because I can find what I need without being told it has to be ordered. They always have things in stock and if I have a question about any of the products Rhapsody has REAL knowledge. Positive vibes follow me out of that place every time. I don't know what the mojo is going on in there all I can say is that it is always a happy and positive experience when I shop in this store and you can expect to laugh.. A LOT. Rhapsody is really funny and needs no filter. I noticed people love to come in and hang out, they don't leave after buying things they stay and talk. It is a comfortable and welcoming environment and it's because of Rhapsody. The prices are affordable and she has a lot of books that you just can't find in other stores that are similar. If i could give her more than 5 stars I would .... go in and visit and be prepared to laugh, hang out and if you ask for advice be man enough or woman enough to hear it straight with no sugar coating..Rhapsody gives it to you straight, no...
