Went yesterday to show my mom how nice the place is but it was probably my last visit. One of the girls behind the counter was basically accusing me of stealing since I didn’t have the item I walked in with that was from the rack outside and asked me where it was. Angered but calm I told her where I got it from and where I left it (the upstairs area where they have more clothes) because I changed my mind on it. Such a shame that I found that place when I first moved here a month ago and was excited to support a local business but not if they are going to be making me feel uncomfortable and wronged. Tried to bring expensive items in on 3 different occasions. Each time the the owner is arrogant and unfriendly. I end up driving them to my 2 favorite, high-end consignment stores in Santa Fe, The Raven and Congeries. They gladly take my things, recognize their value, and always sell them at a premium. Cannot recommend the Los Alamos Boomerang store. She is strangely selective, pays nothing for her inventory, and her shop is filled with Salvation Army kind of nick nacks. I recently just moved here for the summer. Randomly came by this shop to find a gift to send back home to my mom for her birthday. I ended up finding the PERFECT pair of dog earrings (that she ended up loving and everyone back at home complimented her on them). Also found of couple of collectibles for myself!!
