Was refused a C-19 vaccine here just last week.
They claim they have walk-in service, but refused to give me the vaccine point blank. Apparently, their walk-in vaccine service consists of: 1) telling you to go away and make an appointment, and 2) suggesting you come back every day at 6pm to beg them for a leftover dose, which youâll only get, of course, if someone has failed to turn up for their appointment that day & youâre the first in line to ask. They claim this is indeed walk-in service. Iâm one of the people whose schedule is too unpredictable to be able to make an appointment, so these âsuggestionsâ are less than useless to me. The pharmacist that told me these things seemed to go to quite a bit of effort to communicate to me that they couldnât give a fig whether I ever got my vaccine, and just wanted me to go away and stop bothering them. I was very taken aback and saddened to be treated this way by my local neighborhood pharmacy, where Iâve shopped regularly for over a decade. And this is the only pharmacy for miles here that stocks the Pfizer vaccine, so I could not just go somewhere else, either - this was to be my 2nd dose.
It is July now, but this pharmacy seems to be, inexplicably, stuck in operating as though itâs still January and these vaccines need to be strictly rationed & refused to all the âundeservingâ. I am frankly appalled that they are openly acting so unpatriotically, helping to further sabotage our nationâs already faltering vaccine campaign by putting up serious barriers to underprivileged peopleâs ability to get this...
Read moreLiterally the worst pharmacy experience. I work in healthcare and have my own prescriptions. My insurance doesnât cover so I pay out of pocket. They make this process so tiresome and painful. I have to call every time because side they cancel my prescription due to no coverage, which I explain every time. As someone who works in healthcare I donât mind calling. I am a very nice person and always call ahead of time. My issue is with the staff being so rude. Every single time they make the process so dehumanizing and embarrassing. They talk to you like youâre less and bothersome. I get that theyâre busy and I donât even ask for much besides a human interaction that wonât make me feel humiliated for asking questions and having to pay for my medicine out of pocket and use coupons. Today I spoke to Rose and every question was followed with a sigh. I simply wanted to know if my coupon was in place. I write this review in hopes that CVS will listen. I am a 30 year old who has the energy to do this but I canât imagine not being a fluent English speaker, older, less tech savvy. This CVS needs management control from the cashiers, tech and pharmacist. Everyone is rude and not helpful. Please go down the street or...
Read moreTook 45 minutes to pick up a prescription after they'd texted me that it was ready. Couldn't fill my other prescription, told me they'd order it on Monday and have it ready on Wednesday. Today's Thursday and I've called them 4 times with no response. 3 times I sat on hold until they hung up on me. Once it let me leave a message so they could call me back, but when I got a call back there was no one on the other line when I answered, then it disconnected.
They also told me they don't carry my prescription by default, and my doctor's office would need to fax them a week in advance every single month to let them know they'd need to order it. Have these people ever met a doctor? Do they really think my doctor's office is going to do that? It's ridiculous.
Used to use Rite Aid, which was always fast and easy, but they closed and sold my account to this CVS. I've spent 3 hours trying unsuccessfully to fill this prescription, instead of the 5 minutes it took me at Rite Aid every month....
