This Goodwill has a friendly staff that is always willing to help. The store is also well organized, except for the sizes. If you are say, a size XL, even though their are markers for that size, you are going to find a lot of Small and Medium sizes in the XL section. That goes for the entire store, from one end to the other. So, it takes you triple the amount of time to find the size you want because you have to look through racks and racks of clothing to find your size. It is a LARGE Goodwill. The problem is that being in Hollywood, you know that they are getting great donations with quality items and designer brands, but these items RARELY make it to the floor and when they do this Goodwill prices them too high. For example, a used Ralph Lauren or Calvin Klein men's shirt will cost you $14.99. For that price, you can get it NEW at Ross or Marshall's for between 15 and 20 dollars. The entire store primarily showcases off-brands that are VERY used. What they need to do is hold and entire week of $2 tag sales for each color to get rid of this junk. There is no place left for anything good and that is because the employees are getting first pick of the good stuff or they are selling the nice things on eBay and leaving the rags for the floor of the store. There is no doubt in my mind that people in Hollywood are donating great designer items, but don't let the name Hollywood fool you for this store. BEWARE - you will be wasting a lot of time looking for nothing. Occasionally, you will find quality items that are expensive brands that are not well-known brands and that is why they make it to the floor. My sons and I have been shopping here for SEVEN YEARS and it's mostly been a waste of time. We kept hoping that Goodwill would realize that the real bread and butter of their profits can come from the shoppers in their stores so it would be wise to put designer and quality items on the floor, but they are dense in the head and have filled their stores with very used off-brand items so you tell me who wants to treasure hunt for that? The whole point in going to a thrift store is to find used items that are name brands at least sometimes. They need managers and executive directors who realize this. Otherwise, most people get wise to what they are withholding or keeping for themselves sooner or later. Unfortunately, it took us a while because we...
Read moreI have had the worst customer service experience at this Goodwill. I went to drop off some donations last Sunday night and unfortunately in one of the bags that had the donations my cell phone was included by mistake. I went back to let them know as soon as I found out but to my dismay the manager said she couldn't help me because it was closing time and to call back next morning at 6:00am to speak to the manager then. I did as was requested but nope the person who answered was helpful, the manager was not. I was told once again to call back before noon this time to allow them sufficient time to go over the donations. I did that and according to the manager nothing was found but if they found something they would call and let me know. I never got a phone call back and I am certain that my phone was there so someone probably one of the employees got a hold of it and will try to sell it or use it themselves. I think is a shame that people are not more helpful and do not try to understand or put themselves in someone else's shoes. No more donations from my end, I am sure they don't care which is fine. I really think they should care about people that they...
Read moreGreat staff, terrible managers. Wendy was so unbelievably rude after I donated half of my storage space—at least $1200 worth of items. My mom accidentally included a vintage jacket and I realized it was missing a few days later. I called and described it to a very helpful staff member, adding that I’d be happy to pay for it. She went to look for it. Fifteen minutes later, Wendy picked up the phone and rudely told me there’s no way they’ll allow someone to look for my stuff. I’d been holding the entire time—surely the sales person had an answer if the jacket was still there. Wendy refused to let me speak to this person and she had a terrible attitude, telling me I’d have to come in and look for myself. I told her there was a nicer way to say this to someone who just dropped half a storage space at her Goodwill. Despite me remaining polite and seeking a solution, she attempted to tell me off. I hung up. People like that should not be managing anyone, let alone kind people willing to do their job and actually...
