"The historic Grand Central Market has been feeding Angel-inos since 1917. It's a spacious European-style open air market showcasing international diversity with food stands featuring produce, dried goods, spices, meats, poultry, seafood and ethnic eateries." ~ Official Description
It's the less glitzy Las Vegas version of Disneyland where the rides are multiple vendors and a multi-national plethora of culinary options. There are few places in the city better suited for full indulgence of things you typically crave when 'the hunger' sets in that have also so many new, differently delectable delights to discover and try.
Places like the Getty are great and I will punch anyone in the nose who says LA has no culture. But this place epitomizes everything I love about the city: Care-free Angel-inos enjoying the always enviously warm sunny weather while eating good food, laughing and having a great time with their friends. The noise and buzz of neon lights mix with hurried sounds as the hustle of vendors competing to woo your buds of taste join in a delightful chorus of happy hungry humans enjoying one another (with sides of food & booze) living their best lives, if only for an afternoon or evening.
Yet another small pocket world with its own atmosphere & grove here in the city a step outside the beat, disassociated a little from the regular flow.
One more place for my ever growing list of cool spaces I've discovered to eat drink be merry and play. No big whup i guess, just another fun spot to stay for a spell on my way to adventure in yet another exquisitely beautiful day, for you and me in...
