Hawk On Hand Falconry — Attraction in Los Angeles

We had a great time - the birds are beautiful and (non-ironically) majestic, and Adam’s presentation was highly educational. His communication style is engaging, direct, and wry and he does a great job of highlighting the birds, which he clearly respects, understands and appreciates. I was personally mildly intimidated by the biggest bird, the beautiful Kanoni - and Adam’s skill as a handler & attunement to her made me feel totally comfortable with the big sharp taloned bird of prey. Adam is also a great photographer and takes a bunch of pro photos & sends them to you afterwards, which was a sweet bonus. I purchased a triple threat session as a birthday gift for my partner and he was totally wowed. Highly recommend as a unique animal encounter for true animal lovers who are interested in actually learning about the animals and appreciating them for their inherent wild qualities. We had an incredible time with Adam and his flock. You can tell how much time, care, and effort he has put into his birds. We met Archie the barn owl, Fox the Harris’s hawk, and Lola the Falcon. All of them were so unique in their personalities and Adam was a great teacher on the history of falconry along with his knowledge of each species of bird he shared with us. He also takes really amazing photos of you interacting and flying the birds which makes a lovely memento. We were able to fly and hold Fox, and hold Archie as he was being a bit sassy with his recall (which made us find him very endearing). Lola was a special treat and though she was a look don’t touch, she was still so amazing to see up close. I cannot recommend booking a private falconry experience enough. After some false starts - our experience was cancelled abruptly last November, then again when it coincided with the wildfires - we met up with Adam on March 30. He arrived approximately ten minutes late but did text to let us know he was in traffic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our session. Adam told us all about Archie the barn owl, Jasper the Harris' hawk, and Lola the new Lanner falcon. We got to hold Archie and pet him while he was eating some mouse, and then we got to hold and fly Jasper. We were able to take photos and videos during the session and Adam also took some high-quality photos which were emailed to us two days later.
