I went to Mr.Tempo Cantina’s in Hollywood last night to celebrate my little sister’s 26th birthday party. Now 15 minutes to me and my plus one arriving, my sister sat at that table and didn’t receive any service until the rest of the party arrived. When we did arrive we had to wait an additional 5 minutes before we even received any water. When our waiter was finally down to help us she had an apparent Attitude, Which didn’t bother us. We were here for my sisters birthday. The atmosphere was a vibe until the food came. We ordered the birria tacos, the shrimp tacos, grilled oysters, fries and a tempura roll. The seafood tasted as if they left it out. We asked our waiter to take the shrimp tacos back. She snatched the plate from my sister huffed and took at back. (Ngl that pissed me off). I’m like okay ima get us all one more thing to try. Then I ordered the bone marrow tacos. When they came out. The bone marrow on the inside was COLD like super cold. So I told our waiter and she again huffed snatched the plate and took it back. We decided then that it was definitely time for us to go. For 5 minutes we tried to get someone’s attention to get us the check because our waiter had disappeared. Finally after she came back out she was carrying the SAME PLATE OF FOOD I SENT BACK. Just hot. As I was trying to tell her it’s okay we don’t want it she got a full blown attitude and rolled her eyes, slid the plate off the table and stomped off as I’m trying to tell her we need the check. So we thinking she’s about to come right out with it. No. She stands at the bar looking at us conversing with her other employees. So we call her over and ask for the check and she said, and I quote “Oh, you guys sure you have the money?” My fiancé said, “excuse me” and the waitress then replied “don’t trip” and walks off in the middle of me asking the same exact question. As a black family we’re we’re appalled. What do you mean, “Oh are you guys sure you have the money?” We then ask for a manager because that was extremely rude. She then proceeds to tell us she was the manager so I told her off about her service and her attitude. If she wasn’t in the right mood or mindset to deal with a party of 4 in Hollywood she should’ve called off. After I then proceeded to pay my 172 dollar bill and left. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and I will share my experience on every platform I can find. Last night was out of pocket and we left unsatisfied,...
Read moreTerrible service. We were staying nearby and thought it looked like an interesting spot for dinner. We got there approximately around 7:30, ordered drinks and guacamole. At one point our server told us someone else would be taking care of us, so I assumed her shift was over. No one really acknowledged us for a while, and we also didn't get our food for a while. I had to flag down two people to check on our food. One guy who looked like a manager went back to check and then stood on the other side of the room and avoided eye contact with us. We didn't get our food until after 8:30 and I was about 2 seconds from walking out. Which was unfortunate as the food was actually good. The only person who even acknowledged the problem was the busser, who let us know that our server forgot to put our food in.
Look, I've served before, and I've forgotten to put orders in before. It happens. The correct way to deal with the situation is to acknowledge the error and actually check on the table. The incorrect way, which is what the staff at Mr. Tempo chose to do, was to ignore us and refuse to acknowledge the situation. Though our server did reappear in time to get her tip, then promptly left without a thank you. Her tip really should have gone to the busser, the only person who actually served us.

Read moreI ordered a salad with "soyrizo" which is vegan, but about ten minutes later an employee told me they no longer had the soyrizo. So then I looked at the "Vegetarian" section of the menu and noticed that all items had pinto beans. I asked if the pinto beans were actually vegetarian or made with lard and was told they contain lard. So, if you're vegetarian or vegan, do NOT eat the beans.
All of our meals came out at different times, and my sister's came out as the last person in our party was finishing. She tasted it and it was cold, so she sent it back. She had them take it off the bill and it was too late to order something else.
Our server did not print out our bill, so I asked for it to be printed. Good thing I did because they did NOT take the $5 charge for soyrizo off of our bill AND there was another $5 charge for plain chorizo! So, they attempted to charge me $10 extra for adding nothing to my salad.
I truly have no idea how this place has such a...
