The amount of times I've PASSED THIS MALL IS CRAZY!!!! I never knew this was a mall, just a random building which I never paid any attention to. Granny and I went in for the some coffee beans for her friend and the selection is huge! But, she didn't find the one her friend drinks hahaha.
I wouldn't say it was packed, but there was plenty of bodies shopping around. I love how everything is organized and easy to read, just like a regular smegular grocery store.
Social distancing is also in forced. When you walk in, stay on the 1st floor and go all the way towards the back of the mall, there is a longgg line that wraps around the parking garage for people waiting to get into a specific store. One security guard stands there to make sure that only a few people go into that small store at a time and everyone is at least 6' apart.
If you're like my granny, a curious cat, you can still technically walk up the escalator and go to the 2nd floor, but every single shop is closed. Even, the ones that are technically open and have their lights on, they're not allowing in-shopping.
I also appreciate how there's hand sanitizer stands all over the place, so no excuse not to clean em hands! and English labels on a few items...
Read moreWe were visiting LA and looking for a Koreatown experience. Unlike Chinatown in SF, for example, Koreatown in LA isn't really the kind of place where you stroll along and pass shop after shop of tourist goodies. We also didn't need the same higher-end stores we would find in other malls, just shops that were uniquely Korean... and a good food court couldn't hurt either! We found it all in Galleria, a multi-level indoor mall. Several floors of various shops, mostly bookstores/stationery/souvenirs and a few clothing/shoes, then a very solid offering of food, snacks, desserts, and beverages. Parking was easy to find in the attached structure, with the first 3 hours free; I believe there is also a supermarket and a bank in the building, but we didn't need either one. We went crazy with all the adorable things that only Korean stores carry, got totally full on great authentic food at an awesome price, ordered a shaved ice bowl (bingsu) packed to go, and overall just had a great time, long before the parking...
Read moreThis place has to ha e the worst customer service of ALL TIME. The manager onsite is the Worst of them all, doesn't realize that he's lost at least $500 a week with his attitude. My family and I used to shop here and nowhere else, till last week when he'd treated me with shame and no respect. As everyone knows how respect is everything about Koreans. He'd looked at me as if I was a low life thug, because of the way I was dressed in casual clothing. He'd show me how people could just walk out and not even blink. No apologies for not having item in stock that they were supposed to have on sale starting that day. No apologies for not training the employees to the price point of items. No apologies for failure of their credit card machine. All the 3 failures will stop me and my families to be shopping there. Dont he know that I'm paying for his salary?
Well, hope no one else should go through with this. So here's my testimony for this lousy place to shop...
