I found a lil baby tortoise crawling towards the road in HLP⦠I scooped them up because I was afraid they would get stepped on or run over⦠it turns out they are a desert tortoise, a protected species! I had no idea what to do with the little guy⦠but thankfully TortoiseLand was there to help! When I came to drop Baby T off, seeing the place made me a bit emotional⦠itās a wonderful place filled with wonderful creatures and kindhearted people who care so much about them :,) truly amazing work that they do. Kevin was kind enough to come to my place to find the turtle a good home and kept me updated. Their not much people like Kevin around he is rare as they come this day and age. Kevin, the owner, is very knowledgeable, energetic, and full of passion for all things tortoise and turtle related. Although they are first and foremost a sanctuary, I was happy to find out they do tortoise sitting as well. Our 12yo sulcata spent a couple weeks there and they took great care of him, sending videos and updates whenever I asked or sometimes even randomly. I am so happy to have found them and can't recommend them enough for anything...
