Ideal for an affordable and reasonably healthy Japanese meal! I'm amazed that this Salmon Bento was under $18 in LA. Very friendly service. Took like 5 min longer than I'm used to, but everything was fresh and tasty. No frills. There are little details missing: The rice is medium grain instead of short. The free (!) miso soup has like 2 pieces of wakame and seems to use instant dashi (pretty standard when free). The salmon comes somewhat broken up instead of whole. I left feeling nourished and glad to see a friendly face. Lots of love for spots serving somewhat affordable food these days. I walked, but apparently there's parking in the back, which is a huuuge plus in K Town.

Been coming here for over 10years, every Sunday walking from church. The quality of construction has been in the gutter the last 4 times I’ve visited. Either I’m missing a shrimp from my tempura roll, it’s falling apart bc it isn’t filled and rolled tightly or the rice is falling off my Philly roll bc it’s wet somehow. This spot use to be a gem. I LOVEd this place. There must be new management OR they’ve gotten a new roller. Something is NOT adding up. Either way, something needs to be upgraded. You can clearly see in the pics, gaps in the rolls, missing shrimp, and a wet container. I can’t in good conscience keep this as my Sunday sushi spot. Tradition broken. Thanks!

Love this place! Easy, inexpensive, quick, tasty bite, when craving for japanese. Plus they're open till late - midnight! Best to call & order for pick up, especially on Friday & Saturday nights. I wish they're website had a detailed description of the menu - hard to order, when you don't know what each of these funky-named rolls consists of. Rolls (ninja, rainbow, sunkissed are my favorite) are great, miso that’s included is great, poke is pretty decent, seaweed salad is great. Haven't tried the Udon or Bento yet. The chef's special roll wasn't my cup of tea, but to each their own. Also wish they brought back eel in their rolls - my fave

Parking doesn't exist here so be prepared to walk, ride the bus or come in a helicopter. The first time I came here to pick-up my to-go order I drove around for twenty minutes before I finally gave up and parked in a red zone. The second time I came I got impatient and parked in the parking garage connected to the sushi bar, only to read a sign that says "No Roll Roll Roll parking allowed." So I broke a few rules trying to get here and nothing about it was convenient. Maybe my punishment for illegal parking was that this sushi wasn't the best tasting or freshest I've tried.

The Geisha roll I tried was warm and the tempura surrounding the shrimp in it was soggy, the miso soup was ok just a little too bitter for my tasting, the salmon skin roll I tried was warm as well and had additional ingredients in it I wasn't too fond of, however the tuna rolls were about average. Also for the chicken lovers out there they only serve dark meat in their teriyaki bowls, no white meat. That's a deal breaker for one of my friends.

The good things about the place are the customer service was friendly and accommodating. I appreciated that one of the servers wanted to make sure our soup was warm enough and we didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive. Their menu had a good variety to choose from and the prices are low and manageable. The sushi bar is also located by many other active businesses in KTown and convenient for shopping.

Not my go-to or favorite place for sushi, but for those on a tight budget or in a hurry for fast service this could...

Absolutely horrible. While I was trying to order, the lady at the front didn't even greet me, and while I was looking at the menu to see what to get, she keep making sounds like she was irritated and kept tapping her nails on cash register, which made me feel anxious and pressured to buy something, I actually spoke up and said one second please and after she stopped. It's not like it was busy lol, and it's not like she was going anywhere, she was literally just back there behind the register just talking and laughing with her coworkers. Plus!, there was over 5 employees in the back, so it's not like she was understaffed and had things to do.! Like girl you ain't going nowhere! Its your job lol! Calm down and let me choose my food in peace! Not good customer service. When I was done ordering, It seemed as if they were talking about me, because the coworkers just kept looking at me, looking back and forth. Again, bad customer service, coming from someone who knows customer service, that was unprofessional and atrocious behavior, a bit intimidating to add as well, which is not the type of vibe you want to give when a customer comes into any business. The udon soup was not good, tasted like pure water, and the miso soup was not good either. The sushi was ok, but it was not a pleasant experience over all. Can't I just get my sushi in peace ? Lol...

Just now I went to pick up an order that I placed on their website and when I got there the cashier wasn’t even around. The other two ladies who work there making the food told me that the cashier had left to subway to get himself food. I waited an extra 15 minutes before he came back. So I asked for my order and he said that they no longer get order from the website per new management. I said to him then why did I get charged and why do they still have their card with the QR code to order right in front of their registers he had no answers. So he told me he had to refund the money back to my card and I would have to place the order again and get charged again. By that time it already was over 30 minutes of me waiting for my food. This soup I was getting was for my son who is sick with a cold so he was also waiting for it at home. I got so upset and decided to get my money back and leave. The guy cashier was so unprofessional he didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience and he had nasty long nails looks very disgusting for a restaurant. Save yourself some trouble and don’t go there. Their prices also went up like doubled. What a shame no customer service at all I wish I could remove the one star rating...
