I really wanted to like this place because I love Asian food. I got the "BUN CHA GIO THIT NUONG" with steak in a to-go order. When I got home and saw the packaging It was very neatly packaged and the amount of food was plenty....like you could share it possibly with another person if your'e both not that hungry but could eat. The steak was extremely tough, dry and overcooked. When someone orders steak as an addition to whatever....salad, noodles, rice etc....the odds are they want it med-rare because it is at that temperature that the meat is tender enough to compliment what it's complimenting. Rarely do you get a request to cook the steak so much that trying to swallow it ...cardboard comes to mind. Honestly, I didn't eat the steak and had to leave it that's how dry it was. The shredded lettuce was not fresh, the spring rolls were burnt and too dry and the vermicelli noodles....well what can I say...the person who prepared the dish didn't even bother separating the noodles and just kind of took it out of the fridge plopped it with a ladle onto the container...and off she goes..... The bean sprouts....well...they were bean sprouts. With this dish anyway...it just needs some more care and attention in preparation and a few tweaks, but to have to pay 14 dollars for that meal with that level of quality is frankly angering.

So we decided to stop by Le Pho WeHo after visiting Universal and I warned you: this place isn't for an average Asian Joe. We stopped by around 8:30pm and ordered 3 bowls of Pho(Phở Đặc Biệt) the special bowl combination. We were quite interested in the store layout for its spacious, functional and friendliness but then it ended here. When the waitress brought out the small basket which contains bean sprouts, basils, and oversized large spoons on top, it caught my attention. It is out of the ordinary for the Vietnamese traditional authenticity Pho. I have been eating Pho regularly every week for all my life 40+ yrs but this time, I have to say something. It wasn't Pho at all. The broth has no taste. Its lacking of burnt ginger, burnt onion and other specialty herbs made the broth taste almost similar to that of a small seasoning packet from the instant noodles pack. The raw beef slices were thick, and not to mention the gigantic slice of pre-cooked beef (5inX2inX.25in) inside every bow ( see picture for details). We couldn't eat at all despite the fact that we were hungry. Needless to say, this is the worse Pho place I had ever dined in. I upset because it is an imitation of Vietnamese authenticity Pho. I upset because it is expensive but I couldn't eat it and left with hunger.

This is pho-king GOOOD!!! OK so I love pho but I hadn't had it a couple years (drag me). This was my first time trying this spot. This bowl literally restored my faith in humanity. Parking in this area is always a lil scarce but it's well worth it. The service here is great! The staff is super friendly and informative about the different flavor profiles the restaurant has to offer. The location is clean and all that, don't even get me started on the food. Straight up delicious. I ordered the fish pho and OMG with the combination of spices and sauces it was mouthwateringly good. It was super flavorful and combined w the fresh herbs it was OVER. Loved my meal here + I had plenty of leftovers! I'm absolutely coming back lol

Firstly, this review is based on a DoorDash delivery experience. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant.

I wish I had gotten pictures of the packaging and the food itself because wow it's worthy.

I ordered the build your own pho bowl with flank, brisket and rare steak. When the order arrived, the broth was still very hot, so shoutout to my Dasher for that, as well as the restaurant for serving it up piping hot.

Once I assembled my bowl, it was clear that the portion size was very generous. I took my first bite and was pleased. As I continued and the flavors began to build I was surprised at how delicious everything was. The meat was cooked well, not overdone. The broth had so much flavor and depth. And also they managed my requests for extra veggies as well as extra chili oil on the side.

Unfortunately, the bowl was too big for me to finish because I wasn't feeling great. But WOW was it wonderful! I typically order chicken pho whenever I order any because it's been consistent for me. Since I was trying a new place, I figured I'd try everything as new and I'm so glad I did. I will absolutely be ordering again and hopefully I can go in and sit down to eat so I can have it extra hot and fresh.

Great job to the team here. Thank you so much for a positive experience. Can't wait to try it again! You definitely won't be disappointed.

Troy W. Kentfield, CA 055 6/27/2022 Pros: Think the flavor is pretty good and authentic on the food side. The Interior is nice.

Cons: Expensive and more than once the service messed up our order (but they were good about it)

Lucy N.Elite 2022 Emeryville, CA 471251 6/3/2022 6 photos I've driven past this place so many times & finally hit a chance to try it. HUGE disappointment. First my Cà Phê Sữa / Cà Phê đen With Condensed Milk - Cold came with 1/3 of the glass not filled! My view-workers Thai tea - totally filled!

My food 80. Bún Bò Huê Pro's - broth was full of flavor - on the spicy side. I like that they give you the lime (really enhances the flavor) The brisket was great too. I wasn't in love with the ham - but that's me. And they give you a lot.

CONS: My pile of fat and gristle was ever growing. It really ruined the experience. I had to fish all of that out before I could enjoy the broth.

I will not be back - so unfortunate. I really enjoy Pho This is now off the list for lunch spots for my job. We eat out everyday.

PS - we had our food delivered via Caviar
