This store is interesting is several respects. Objectively, the layout is peculiar with 2 entrance and exit points (one access point is to a dedicated parking garage). From a corporate efficiency perspective, there are loss prevention concerns, though the store appears to have low/moderate traffic levels with security seemingly visually monitoring both access points.
The store is clean, but is notably a conversion from a different retail space (as opposed to a Target developed retail space). For this reason, it doesn't have the full Target store options seen in other locations. With a limited grocery section, stock seems to be frequently depleted requiring better supply & ordering projections and management.
Being a repurposed space, some inefficiencies are to be expected, though I particularly dislike the merchandising displays from the La Cienga entrance that present in the same manner as a bargain bin discount retailer. (See photo).
In addition to the supply & ordering improvements that are needed, employees need better training in product placement review as damaged items have repeatedly been encountered on shelves and not removed. (Two example photos).
Above and beyond that, there does appear to be disparities in product pricing too. Although certain markets may require slight pricing adjustments, the pricing disparities are significant and not uniformly applied to all the products within the same category, which gives of being arbitrary or inadequately implemented.
From a consumer standpoint, Target is always a good go-to for staple items or a quick "tide over" trip, though attention needs to be paid to the purchase price of items at...
Read moreI needed to use the bathroom while shopping and when I asked for assistance a gentleman pushing a stocking cart looked me up and down and blatantly ignored me. From there I asked two more people for help which led to me waiting over 20 mins to use the bathroom. They also have underage cashiers which is unnecessarily problematic when making alcohol purchases because it seems like no one of age is ever available to help. This location has a front and back entrance and three times I was encouraged to walk all the way around the shopping center to get to my vehicle instead of having someone by the exit during the last hour of closing. They dont even announce if the back is closing or not which doesn't correspond with the store hours on the window. Products are constantly locked up and waiting for a team member is aggressively too long as well. I requested manager assistance multiple times and who ever it is never shows face and typically intercepted by team leads who perpetrate as the manager. This has happened twice. I frequent here and noticed a team lead who introduced themselves as the manager. Poor management at...
Read moreSmall but very clean store, however my first (& now last) time here I was racially profiled just because I was wearing sweats and a hoodie on a cold day. I was looking at hair care products when a guy walks past me and loudly says on his walkie “customer assistance in beauty”, and then continued to stare me down the entire time. I wish I got his name, but he had shoulder length black hair and wore it half up half down. A few minutes later I see 5 different employees and 2 different security guards walking around me & the area I was in, yet not one asked if I needed help. Then as I was going to self check out, the same dude on the walkie continues to stare me down, so I went to a different register instead so I didn’t have to speak to him for my price matches. I wish I confronted him I just wasn’t in the mood. But just because I’m black shopping in a dominantly white neighborhood doesn’t mean I’m...
