Belgium Waffle Haus — Restaurant in Los Angeles

To all foodies and authentic waffle lovers, I just had a lengthy conversation with the person taking my order when there was some confusion about their waffles. I wanted a Brussels Belgium waffle and they kept pointing at a Liege waffle. They finally told me that their Liege waffle and Belgium waffles are made with the same batter. They are NOT suppose to be the same batter. One is light and crispy and the other is dense and bread like consistency with sugar pearls. But I stayed and gave it a chance. I ordered breakfast and told them I would like to try their waffles, so I order a side waffle with my breakfast. When my order arrived, I ended up with TWO waffles. Turns out that every order comes with a waffle. Wish the menu was clear, and why didn’t the person taking my order tell me?!? I told them I wanted to try?!?

Anyway, like other reviewers, the waffle wasn’t as tasty, and it is no where near an authentic Belgium Waffle.

So if you’re not a foodie nor looking for an authentic Belgium waffle, and you live close by, it might be nice to stop by for coffee. Prices are a little above average.

Also, just witness this while writing this post. The server was wiping the floor with a cloth, and when he was done, placed it back on the counter next to the serving station. That’s disgusting.

Our family went for a late lunch on Sunday. The food, the ambience, the cleanliness and the service were all A+ We tried both sweet and savory waffles and waffle sandwiches and everything tasted fresh and delicious. We had the CAPRESE waffle sandwich, the CHICKEN PESTO waffle sandwich, the ricotta and berries waffle and the banana split waffle. There was nothing we did not like and we recommend to try the Chicken PESTO waffle it is moist and flavorful, it was our favorite. We also had a delicious strawberry lemonade made inhouse with fresh strawberries and an espresso doppio and a cappuccino that looked and tasted just like in Italy! There is seating indoor and outdoor and parking is free and convenient. There is a pleasant vibe thanks to the cleanliness, the modern decor and the friendly and welcoming staff.
