Just kinda sad by my experience, I actually come here all the time I work right down the road (also send alot of business/my guest to your spot ). I get there are rules and whatnot but I am 28 years old it's not like I'm freshly 21 I also work in the service industry as well a hospitality industry. My wallet was stolen and I had a legal document from the DMV (now let me remind you due to covid-19 most DMVs are restricted or still closed till the 6/15/21) I also moved here from another state so the DMV or anything I do through them is online or digital. Now being that I was given a legal document to show until my actual ID arrives in the mail this document even allows me to vote! I was denied service because I only had this document. So how is it I can use such document to vote but I cant get service at a bar is crazy to me. I was told it was a law which is a lie because I work for a restaurant/bar and we are a 5star establishment so the fact that we accept it but y'all don't!!? Also crazy to me because I'm there at least 1once a week I love your happy hour it's great and Im going to be honest I have NEVER been carded here so it was weird I was asked to show my ID but my friend was NOT!???? I'm just disappointed because I wasn't even able to talk with a manager now my server was very nice and empathy was definitely there but still very disappointed. Definitely will not come back for a bit nor will I send people...
Read moreAre you an Arsenal fan? Do you want to watch Arsenal in LA? Then this is the place for you!
As an avid Arsenal fan and an avid traveller I have watched Arsenal games at many locations around the globe. You will usually find me at The Emirates, but when I find myself somewhere in the world which prevents me from showing up in person I will always hunt out somewhere to catch the game.
We rocked up here just before 8am for the kick off of the Community Shield against Man City. Having learnt my lesson from The Blind Pig in New York I was expecting a decent turn out, even though it was early. However, it was standing room only as the bar was wall to wall Gooners. I had found my LA home.
The atmosphere was amazing, the US Gooners were amazing. Essentially the Fox and Hounds was amazing. Last but not least The Arsenal were amazing!
The 3-0 defeat of Man City was the icing on the cake for our visit to the West Coast, the atmosphere in the pub was amazing. Although it pains me to say it the fans were more energetic than many of the ones you will find filling the seats of The Emirates most weekends. LA Gooners take it to the next level.
No doubt about it, if you want to be part of the #GoonerFamily in LA this is the place to be. If you spot a guy with LA Gooner and the number 14 on his back then say "Hi" to Steve from me!
"We're front row, we're front row, we're front row Fox...
Read moreMe and my husband where looking for some where to eat, early evening in July. We went to hotel concierge to see where she could recomend. She listed all these places which where in walking distance from the hotel we where staying. She mentioned there was a British pub but it was nothing special and she didn't really recomend it ( probably because she didn't like it) being british ourselves this was great. We went just down the road from our hotel The Garland to the pub. Upon arrival it looked a bit of a mess with a smashed window but it's in the process of being fixed. Confusion on how to get in because the front door looks like a side access door. When inside ,my husband said it's like stepping back in to a British pub. Some classics on the menu like fish and chips, steak and kidney pie, mozzerella sticks. Fish and chips where very nice. I don't appreciate my beans or mushy peas spilt down the side of the bowl. English beers avalible. They advertise Heineken but don't sell it. Reasonably priced. Nice to find some where like home in Los Angeles.
Don't let the outside put you off. Could just do with a little...
