I have always been a fashionista, I've always worn awesome outfits that got me multiple compliments from strangers...and then I gained some weight. After the weight gain, it was very difficult to find amazing plus size clothing of good quality. The clothing options for plus size people were so limited. Just trying to find something that would fit and wasn't matronly, ugly or a tent was so difficult. It was like the fashion world was saying just because I'm bigger I don't deserve to have beautiful flattering clothes. It really started to affect my self esteem. Then I discovered The Plus Bus. This wonderful boutique had so many things I never knew I needed. They have everything from plus size fast fashion to luxury designer items. It was a blessing to walk into a store and have so many items that fit me, as opposed to going to one rack of picked over unflattering pieces in the basement of a department store. The Plus Bus has so many awesome items it's like plus sized Disneyland. Besides for selling clothes, they also provide something that other plus sized stores don't...encouragement to dress the body that you're in and celebrate it as it is. Not 5 pounds ago, not 5 founds in the future. They provide the tools to adorn that body in the most amazing clothes. They express that message in their posts and live sales on social media, when assisting customers in the store and in their plus size community events that they organize. In a society that likes to punish larger body human beings with diet culture, fat shaming and discrimination, this women-owned small business combats this treatment with kindness and encouragement of their plus sized clientele. They don't let you feel bad when something doesn't fit. They say if you don't like the way you look, change your clothes, not your body. If you are above a size 12 and you want to look fabulous while living your best life, do yourself a huge favor and go to The Plus Bus. You'll be glad that you did. I know I am! Thank you Plus Bus owners and staff for helping me by giving me the tools to dress my fantastic curvy body and the encouragement to live out loud and celebrate...

I arrived at 10 am to get credit for gently used clothes that no longer fit. I got $25 Plus Bus Bucks! Bring your stuff in girls! It really helps our fave little boutique! The process is quick and the salesperson was sweet!

I was here around 10 AM and I got to meet one of the owners who’s a sweet and very helpful woman. She helped me look for tops. If I’m not mistaken I found out about this boutique on an Insta page called Latinas. Poderosas or something like that. I’m so happy to support a Latina owned business that truly deserves it!
Best neighborhood boutique, best gently used clothing, best service and best neighborhood!
I have had my eye on The Plus Bus for a while. I’m a curvy señora so this is my new fashion Mecca. Quite honestly, most of the clothing on the racks is pretty well made and stylish. I got two black sleeveless tops which are great for work and even for going out. One was $48 and the other $32. Both have really nice fabric that won’t wrinkle easy. No imperfections on either top.
The vibe is incredible! The music is great! The girl that helped me did a spectacular job making us feel right at home. Even my guy friend noted the awesome vibe! The patrons are chill. How can it get better? This boutique has a warm and welcoming attitude towards all. It’s a great place to feel free to try on all kinds of gorgeous looks. This shop has many dimensions to it to help foster a supportive environment.
They have two dressing rooms behind curtains.
There are tops, dresses, bottoms, shoes, accessories and more. The clothing is organized into similar colors.

Read moreI had such a beautiful moment visiting The Plus Bus Boutique. I found so many amazing pieces and I wished I could take everything I found home! But I had to control myself and bring it down to a few pieces. I was discussing with a friend what exactly I should take, the pricing was all reasonable for each piece, but I was really trying to stay in a budget that I could afford. Marcy, the entire time was so encouraging and inviting to her guest, through out my whole time there I could just here her voice echoing through the store, spilling positive affirmation, speaking to us as if we had been friends for what felt like a lifetime.
It was an experience I so rarely get to feel inside a store as a plus size woman. I felt seen, heard and most of all, I felt beautiful. Being a bigger woman, I don't always get to have that feeling when stepping into any space. Marcy could see me struggling on what to buy, as I had three specific pieces in my hand. She was so gracious and kind and offered me an amazing price for all 3 pieces and I was able to walk out with everything that I loved. I couldn't help but tear up, as its been such a difficult year, this one moment of kindness really spoke to me and gave me something to look forward to.
Right now more than ever, the support of not only women but people in general is greatly needed. The state of this country is going to need more people Like Marcy. And I am so grateful and blessed to have been able to experience this moment at The Plus Size Bus. Thank you so much for everything that you, Marcy and Jen are doing for our small, but big community...
