I recently attended my first class at Veda Yoga and let me tell you, it was exactly what I needed. From the moment I stepped foot into the studio, I immediately felt a sense of calm and tranquility enveloping me. The ambiance was serene, and the gentle aroma of essential oils filled the air, setting the perfect mood for a transformative experience.
But what truly made this class exceptional was our guide, Jill. Let me just say, Jill is hands down one of the best yoga instructors I have ever had the pleasure of practicing with. Her expertise and genuine passion for yoga shone through every step of the way. She effortlessly combined her extensive knowledge with a warm and nurturing presence, making everyone feel comfortable and supported throughout the session.
Jill's instructions were clear and easy to understand, even for a novice like myself. She guided us seamlessly through each pose, providing various modifications to accommodate different levels of experience. Her soothing voice and gentle encouragement created an unwavering sense of mindfulness and focus throughout the class.
What impressed me the most about Jill was her ability to make every student feel seen and heard. She took the time to individually connect with each of us, offering personalized adjustments and words of encouragement. This personalized attention made me feel valued and truly motivated to push myself further in my practice.
By the end of the class, I felt an indescribable sense of peace and contentment. My body felt stretched and rejuvenated, and my mind was quieter than ever before. I knew in that moment that I had found something truly special, and I couldn't wait to return for more.
Without a doubt, Veda Yoga, with Jill as the guiding force, has exceeded all my expectations. I cannot express enough gratitude for the profound experience she provided. Her passion, expertise, and undeniable talent make her the ultimate yoga instructor.
I've already marked my calendar for my next class, and I can confidently say that Veda Yoga and Jill have earned a lifelong student in me. Whether you are an experienced yogi or a beginner like myself, I highly recommend giving Veda Yoga a try. Trust me, you...
Read moreThe studio is in a convenient location in Culver City. Its got a 90s ashtanga power yoga vibe. I was greeted by a friendly woman who explained the studio to me. The building is quite dated and the bathroom is awkwardly outside and there is no shower even though they heat the classes but the space is comfortable and clean. The floors are made of a bouncy rubber material in the studio which felt nice underneath my mat as an added layer.
The reason for only 3 stars is because the class is the one hour class began with a Shruti box and chanting followed rapidly by a power flow which included bird of paradise and side crow, then somewhere in the middle some random abs accompanied by a loud bass song then a couple of floor hip stretches and boom shavasana and OMs. This was all instructed while a woman to my left had her phone set up at the front of her mat and was recording herself. I feel like Pattabhi Jois is rolling over in his grave. The teachers cues were well timed and organized and she handled the phone filming in class like a champ when I pointed it out but still, sigh, yoga has become so confused. Am I doing Kirtan? Am I doing an ab workout? Am I doing a power flow with peak poses with very little warm up? Am I meditating and sounding Om? Am I going to be on someones Instagram post...

Wilson and Jillian are fantastic teachers, and also genuinely lovely people (which I feel is important when you’re listening to someone talk at you for an hour or more). Their directions are clear and precise so you’re not looking up to check you’re doing the right thing, and they’re very observant, constantly checking you’re positioning. Their classes are truly for all levels, and although you’ve worked hard you’ll somehow come out relaxed.
The classes are stand alone, but if you attend regularly it is more of a course moving though different focuses which I love, adding new techniques every week to get more from each pose as you progress, as well as exploring new ones! A tinny tiny gripe is my Gympass subscription doesn’t work at the studio, though it shows on my end. Overall, this studio is a gem and I will continue to...
