Hal Warheim Park — Attraction in Louisville

We love having our own "secret" neighbourhood park! Though quite modest in size, it is a lovely little green space that quite effectively blocks out the cityscape, and feels like a true hidden gem. It's a good place to visit if you have kids or just want to take a stroll. It's also really nice that the neighbourhood hosts small events here for everyone to enjoy.

The only limitations are space - which is unavoidable - and hours: it closes at sundown, but as a nearby resident, I'd love to be able to visit the park after dark. Alas, I understand the necessity but wish it could be open later for locals! Would like to see them add a water fountain for pups and another picnic...

This is a hidden gem of a park. It is not that easy to find, and there is no public parking lot. There is street parking on Overlook, however this is also a residential area and the parking is public but used by the residents primarily. Please be respectful of the neighbors and do not block driveways. Hal Warheim passed away earlier this year and I put in an edit to phone number because I am not sure if the family is willing to field calls...
