Great Flood Highlands — Restaurant in Louisville

Great Flood is one of my favorite places in Louisville. Delicious brews and a great atmosphere from the hand-built wood bar and tables, down to the polished concrete floor. These guys make tasty brews. Falcon Punch IPA, Find a way IPA, Eclipse Brown, and '37 Imperial Porter all of them are awesome! They typically have 8 of their own beers available on draft, 8 guest drafts that consist of local, regional, and national offerings, and an assortment of cans. You will also find one of the owner/brewers there most of the time. There are board games available to play, and even a board game night. Even though they don't serve food, they do have amazing hummus by Naked Hummus available, as well as delicious beer cheese and pimento cheese from Morris deli. Used to really like this place but they've started being super weird and rude about the patio space they share with Vines.

[Minor Update] For the record, I was drinking a beer from Great Flood but (apparently) sitting at a Vines table? Some random guy came through the parking lot (not immediately obvious that he was a GF employee) and was pretty aggressive in chastising us about where we were sitting.

Isn't it in every business's best interest to just have people around buying stuff? I've always gone back and forth buying drinks at both places. Guess that's not an option anymore.

A great place to meet up with friends!

The older I get, the less I want to leave my home & my dogs. Great Floods is one exception to that: not only are they a pleasant walk away, but my dogs are welcome to join me both on the spacious outdoor patio and in the taproom itself. I love having the option to bring in outside food and dine alongside my pups while enjoying a beer with friends! Great Floods has a really pretty solid selection of their own brews as well as other craft selections, including ciders for those who aren't beer people, as well as frozen cocktails & wine.
