The pharmacy was a great place with helpful staff that remembered your name and cared to ask and keep up with your life but that has changed and everyone now cant be bothered to answer questions or update their prescription refill service to let people know when its ready for pick up or when they remove your prescriptions and place them back on their shelves. The entire staff from store manager to clerk look bothered when you need their assistance, to you know, check out and leave. Store manager follows people around hoping to catch them shoplifting and is not helpful when directly asked questions pertaining to stock availability. I once witnessed him yelling obsenities as someone left who he presumed had shoplifted. He used very inappropriate language for any employee, let alone management, while doing so in front of customers, especially my young daughter. The young people they employ have better things to do like talking to each other or looking at tiktoks on their phones between ringing up their items. I once asked for an opinion on hair care products and a clerk recommended a product they didnt even carry which i looked for on their shelves nonetheless. A year ago this weekend, I had to reroute my flight and vacation due to pharmacy closing 5 hours early with no notice. No meds to take on my trip. This year the same thing has happened again. This past Wednesday I get an automated recording that my prescriptions were ready at 9:30 in the am. I was at the pharmacy by 10:45 am to find a note hanging that the store was closed early for what ever reason and they would not open back up until Monday 7/8/24. An additional 5 days with no meds and scripts could not be transferred to another Walgreens in all calls made. I called the cooperate Office of Walgreens in Illinois. Today was the worst experience yet so had to write a review..called several times to see if my prescription was ready as I knew it had been called in. Each time I called I was told the prescription had not been called in. When I follow up with my physician to confirm it had been called in, they confirmed it had. The physician called a second time & spoke directly with the pharmacist, whom said it was ready for pick up. I had just spoken with the pharmacist 5 minutes earlier who said there was no order for it! I immediately drove up & arrived within 20 minutes to discover the pharmacy had closed 4 hrs early due to ālow staffingā! Totally unacceptable!
