Update Beside being overcharged $40.24, which the management refused to acknowledge & like I said in the earlier review this establishment does not date their receipts, nor identify what is bought-General Merchandise-is apparently the only key on the cash register. And just one week after purchasing a wooden pipe reveals the poor quality of their merchandise. So many head shops exist, I will never shop @ Electric Ladyland again. It used to be the best, but a wider choice of stores who values customers, honor legit returns, & know how to provide exceptional customer service should easily put EL on notice. This store is a relic, don't succumb to nostalgia.
Unlike my past experiences @ this retailer; where friendliness met knowledge, the 2.0 version of Electric Ladyland is very much lacking. When I went in to show the large discrepancies between my receipt (no date) & what I bought, I was 1st met with 'your lying', then told to provide a date of purchase (again dating the receipt is cost effective, as well as adding return policies. Again, cheap to add to receipts. But no, the onus is on the customer to somehow magically remember date bought. Apparently, this allows the asst. managers to look on their cameras. Look they may, but don't be surprised if no credit/refund is issued. I'm taking my buisness where I can trust the employees, &...
Read moreWhen I was a young adult, approx 30 years ago I would go here and just browse to buy something, anything and take in the scents, the incense burning and the oils steeping. It was my "peace me" time. I bought my blacklight there, and it still works. Same bulb. Blacklight posters, love. A lava lamp. Not sure where it went...🤔 My black Victorian shawl, I wore to Phoenix Hill Tavern, as a shirt. Nothing else atop. Cheer to being skinny once upset n a time...🥹 Necklaces, earrings, of which this time I found a few 👍 and Vintage Albums!!! Omygosh that is sorta new. To me anyway. There were a few then, but golly gosh darn, there are A LOT now! I found the 1976 remake of "A Star Is Born" with Streisand and Kristofferson. I never even knew! 1938 is the original. Lady and Bradley enchanted me so much, I had to know... Amazing. ❤️
The glass! Local artists and beautiful blow pipes for the peace time. So much to choose from. All quality and sizes, shapes, colors, and varieties to choose from. I bought two. ☺️
Needless to say I was still enchanted 30 years later as I was at 20. Stop by and take a walk. Many treasures to...
Read moreI've had a very good experience with Electric Ladyland. I noticed on one of the reviews they mentioned the staff being snobby, which I was surprised to read, because in my case the person that helped me took her time and was very patient in answering all my questions. The girl that helped me was very cute and petite, but she acted like she was no different than anyone else and really went out of her way to explain everything in detail. She would turn and ask the other employee what her opinion was and she would stop what she was doing and jump right in there with a helping hand. There's a lot of these type of shops in the Highlands, but none of them can match the great customer service of Electric Ladyland. Because of the great customer service, it will be the only shop that I go to from now on. I'm one of those shoppers that asks several questions before deciding what I'm gonna get. I do appreciate the patience and williness to answer all questions in detail. I have some friends coming from Indianapolis to hit some shops and I will guide them straight to...
