I absolutely love Platoâs Closet, and this is not a review of the company as a whole, but rather this specific location. My mother and I went into this location yesterday around 1 pm, and it was obvious that they were prepping to put out fall items, or at least new items. My mom and I picked out about 7 pairs of shorts for her to try on, and when my mom went up to ask to be let into the fitting room, she said she was sorry to interrupt them because they were busy, but asked if she could be let in when they had a chance. The blonde lady behind the desk rolled her eyes at my mom, and then came over to let her into the fitting room. The lady told us that only three items are allowed in the fitting room at a time, which is fine, so my mom told her that I would hold onto the remaining shorts and switch them out for her, and we would put what we didnât want back on the racks. The lady argued and said that she needed to keep all but three pairs behind the counter and that my mom could come trade them out every three pair so she could ensure that they ended up back on the shelf and we werenât trying to steal any items. I understand if this is protocol, but she was being rather rude with my mom and insinuating that she was trying to steal from the store rather loudly in front of other customers. My mom got a bit upset, and said that she wasnât trying to steal any items, and the lady rolled her eyes at her again, and then huffed very loudly and stormed back to behind the desk. My mom went ahead and went into the dressing room, but told me that she kind of wanted to go. I, however, stayed outside and listened as the woman told her coworker how annoying we were being and kept pointing over at me as if I could not see her. My mom and I were both pretty uncomfortable at this point, so decided we would go elsewhere, and took the seven pairs of shorts up to the counter. When the lady saw us, she rolled her eyes at us a third time, and we left. We then went to the Hurstbourne location instead, and they were very polite. I spend a lot of money in this store at least once every few months, and feel like me and my mother should not be treated like thiefs because we want to try on a few items. I would also like to note that neither one of us had bags that we could have taken any items out of the store with anyways. I will not be back to this...
Read moreRUDE!! SO VERY RUDE! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY THAT HIRES PEOPLE WHO TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS! Id rate 0 stars if I could. My daughter has been trying to sell a basket of clothes for a long time. The first time she went in , they told her to come back at 10 am they were too busy. She said they were mean, i told her everyone has a bad day. Try again. She did, was then refused because she was only 17. Okay, then she takes her boyfriend who is 18, nope too busy. So finally as time goes on, i have a morning off work and take the basket in at 1030, as i learned from her mistake. I was told just fill this out leave it on the floor and we'll call you, we're real busy ( 30 minutes after opening?) it'll be a couple of hours.okay no problem, i have plenty of errands to do while i wait. At 3pm i decided to call to check, maybe it got forgotten about, where it was left on the floor at, but just in general checking on progress. The young girl (can not call her a lady , ladies have manners) who answered the phone was so incredibly RUDE and kept cutting me off saying, we'll call you, in a nasty tone over and over. So i decided I have a choice, and i went and picked up my basket of clothes, as they were going thru them. When i stated i want my things back and i was questioned why i explained, i dont have to do business with someone who treats me that way. She may have denied her behavior but i saw the big pupils when i called her out, all of this i shall say while keeping my tone and self very mellow and to the point. I told her id rather give them away than allow anyone to speak to me like that. Her response thank you for never coming back . I called her and said by saying that it displays your character. Ill donate the clothes for free before i allow myself to be...
Read moreThe Outer Loop location, the staff is very RUDE, especially the lady with short blond hair!!
My son took some items in to sell, was told on Monday around 2pm, had to be there before they opened in order to sell anything. Went back this morning, got there at 10:15 am, was told items had to be in a tote or basket. Went to Dollar tree to buy a basket. Went back into the store, was told to file out the paper to sell items. After filling out form, was told we could either wait and they would call us later. I asked if we leave and you do buy the items, will you hold the cash until we can get back out here today before you close. Was told no, they don't hold the cash, they would go to the next person. We could come back the next day to try again. We waited only to be told they couldn't accept any of our items. They were either too worn looking or they had enough Van's.
When asked why they couldn't accept the very short blond hair lady was very rude and short with us. Told us she is running a business, asked us if we have ever ran a business. All of this just because we asked what the requirements were for buying and the reason for not wanting to buy. She then told my son to leave the store. He asked if there was a corporate number, she walked us to the door and him he was banned from the store. And proceeded to tell me I need to raise my son to have respect!!!
Would NOT recommend...
