My family and I ate here last week. We were told there would be a 45-60 minute wait. Unfortunately, all available waiting room seating was full, and there was no standing room in the bar area, either. This meant my family and I - and several other customers- had to sit outside in the cold. Our wait only took 30 minutes, however. We were seated and we gave our drink and appetizer orders, and it received our appetizers 15 minutes later. We waited for more than half an hour AFTER that to receive our dinners. In that time, our drinks were not refilled- we just sat with empty plates and empty glasses. The table next to us apparently flagged the manager and said something about the poor service, as they had been seated before us and didn't have their food, either. I saw the manager then walk up to our server, who was taking orders at another table. The manager said something to the server, and the server looked confused. They then both laughed. It appeared that the manager had a brief talk with the server about this other party and their food, but neither of them took the complaint seriously, since they were laughing. When we finally received our food, we were asked if everything tasted ok before any of us had even taken a bite! After that, the server and busboy kept lingering over our table. We felt rushed. We understood that there were more people who needed to be seated, but if we had received our food in a more timely manner, we would have been finished with our meal quite a while earlier. Ten minutes after our food arrived, the server started asking if he could take our plates away. We handed off what we could, but it was very aggravating. All in all I'd say we were "allowed" about 15 minutes to eat. Most of our party was quite ravenous and finished their meals quickly, but because of health issues, I have to eat a little slower- nothing out of the ordinary, but I can't inhale my food quite like some people can. I ended up asking for a box and taking more than half my dinner home because I was made to feel uncomfortable by the server. On top of all that, the food wasn't that great. My brother could barely cut into his "medium well" steak- the server actually held the plate down for him while he sawed into it to ensure it was done to his liking. I would take that as a bad sign, honestly. Also, my baked beans tasted as though they had come straight from a can of Bush's- they were room temperature and tasted like no baked beans I have ever had in a restaurant. Between the slowness of the wait staff, the poor attitude of the servers (and manager) and the quality of the food, I doubt we will ever visit this Tumbleweed again. It's worth the 25 minute drive to visit the one on Hurstbourne, which has...
Read moreWe I be back? 95%chance no. Where to start, well I guess with when Infirst walked in. I stood there at an empty hostess stand for 3 minutes, people walking past me, no acknowledgement that I even existed. Finally a youger lady came from out of the back and sat me. Few minutes Later the server arrived (Denise), I placed my order and she came back with Mild Salsa, chips and my Water (light Ice) no ice, but that doesn't matter I do not need Ice. Then she vanishes into the kitchen area I completed my salsa shortly after, I didn't drink much of my water because she obviously wasn't going to check on me. This was about 230pm. From what I could tell I was the only person in her section. She finally walked out of the kitchen after what seemed to be an eternity, but not to check on me. Nope she came out to wipe off a random table that no one was sitting at, as she walked passed me I guess she could see the look of disgust on my face as she said "it'll be out shortly" then back into the kitchen she went. Went the food finally arrived, I noticed there were not tortillas for the steak/chicken Fajitas I ordered, but she had already left again after asking for 1 more small bowl of salsa. I waited for her to arrive back (hoping it was soon). When she arrived back with the salsa (dripping down the side). I asked if the the Fajitas still came with Tortillas, looking puzzled she went back into the kitchen as she had forgotten them. Finally with tortillas on the table literally, just in a paper sack, no plate. The refried beans were crusty. I'm guessing from the microwave or something. I make my slfirst little tortilla of foods, it was edible, that was the extent of it. Again still the only person in her section from what I could tell. I'm just completely disgusted with this place, I remeber back when they were a place I looked forward to eating, but now I wouldn't even serve this...
Read moreWhen we came in the floor were very slippery. I disregarded that because we were quickly seated. Our server was great. Very polite, and fast with our drinks. We ordered and waited quite a bit longer than usual but that was ok because they were somewhat busy. Then when food finally came they made our chicken strips wrong (we asked for a certain sauce) she immediately took them back and put the order in to fix them. Decided to take the children to the bathroom in hopes that their dads chicken would be done by the time we got back so we could all eat together. (This was just dropping some strips and dipping them in sauce.) Anyhow, once in the bathroom, one stall was shut down, one was occupied, the other available. Sent my little in to use it, Noticed the toilet was disgusting and obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time as there was a ring of dirt where the water lays. Feminine wrappers on the floor, toilet paper strewn about. Pull them out and have them wash their hands after touching the stall door. Soap dispenser was broken off the wall and garbage was over flowing onto the floor. Disgusted at the bathroom we went back to the table. Sat down and let the kids eat. Dads food was not back yet. By the time the girls ate all their food and even had icecream then FINALLY his food came. By then he was full on chips. The manager did exclude that from our bill. But either way, our experience was HORRIBLE. We will NEVER...
