Embarking on the Louisville Food Tour - NuLu Experience was an absolute delight from start to finish! As food and history enthusiasts, we were thrilled by the opportunity to explore the city's culinary scene in such a unique and immersive way. The tour was expertly curated, offering a diverse selection of local eateries that showcased Louisville's rich heritage.

Our guide, Cathy, was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about the food culture of Louisville, sharing fascinating stories and insights at each stop. It was evident that she had a deep connection with the community and the restaurants we visited, which made the experience even more authentic.

The food itself was awesome! From the mouthwatering pork barbecue crab cakes to the innovative twists on Kentucky classics, each dish was a testament to the creativity and skill of Louisville's chefs. The portion sizes were just right, allowing us to savor a variety of flavors without feeling overwhelmed.

Beyond the food, the tour also provided a glimpse into Louisville's history and architecture, adding another layer of richness to the experience. Overall, the Louisville Food Tour exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you're a local looking to discover hidden gems or a visitor eager to taste the best of Louisville, we highly recommend this tour. It's a perfect blend of delicious food, cultural immersion, and excellent hospitality. We can't wait to return and explore more of what this amazing city has to offer! - The...

I can’t recommend the Beyond the Barrel tour with Louisville Food Tours highly enough! From start to finish, this experience was a perfect blend of history, food, and bourbon, all brought to life by our phenomenal guide, Cathy.

Cathy’s deep knowledge of Louisville’s rich bourbon heritage was truly impressive. She didn’t just recite facts, she wove fascinating stories about bourbon’s origins, Prohibition-era secrets, and Louisville’s unique role in the bourbon world. I learned so much more than I ever expected, including details and anecdotes I didn't hear during the various distillery tours I also experienced over my weekend in Louisville. Cathy’s enthusiasm and ability to connect history to each tasting and stop made the whole tour engaging and memorable.

The food and drink pairings were outstanding, and each location was thoughtfully selected. So much so that we went back to two of the four the following day!. From modern takes on classic cocktails to delicious bites at some of Louisville’s most celebrated restaurants, every stop felt special and exclusive. Cathy explained the nuances of each drink and dish, which made the experience even richer and more enjoyable. If you’re looking for an unforgettable way to explore Louisville’s bourbon culture and culinary delights, this tour is a must. Cathy’s expertise, warmth, and storytelling made this tour a highlight of my weekend in Louisville.

Five stars—would absolutely...

Cathy was an exceptional guide—engaging, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the vibrant culture and rich history of Louisville. She masterfully wove together fascinating stories of the NuLu district’s past with its exciting present, all while curating a thoughtfully paced food tour that delighted our taste buds at every stop.

Her attention to detail and ability to connect with each guest made the experience feel personal and welcoming. The variety of local restaurants we visited not only showcased the culinary creativity of the area but also highlighted Cathy’s deep relationships within the community. Every bite came with a story, and every street had a soul.

This tour was far more than a tasting—it was a true immersion into the spirit of Louisville. Cathy brought it all to life with warmth, humor, and heart. We left not only well-fed, but inspired and eager to return. Highly...

I did the secrets of Louisville Food & History Tour in NuLu with Christina. She was very nice with a good sense of humor! The tour was a good balance of walking and eating. I have done a few food tours so this was a little different from some of the others I have been on. I did like that this tour included tastings of some liquor drinks, a lot of others only include water or tea and you buy liquor separately, so that was a nice treat. I was surprised that we only tried one thing at each location, again other tours I have done you get 2 to 3 small items at each spot, but you definitely still get full! I forgot to take pictures of the chicken tenders we had, but they were enormous and you get 2! Would recommend giving it a try. Nice way to spend an afternoon. They can also give you recommendations on other places to eat while you are in town.

We had an amazing time on the Phantoms and Prohibition tour with Louisville Food Tours on 9/10/25, and Christina was the perfect guide! She was incredibly informative, sharing fascinating stories that brought the city’s rich (and ghostly) history to life. She took us to some truly unique spots we never would have discovered on our own — each one offering delicious bites and wonderfully different vibes. It is a gift to be a successful storyteller, and Christina delivers great stories, knowledge and history with engaging enthusiasm. We did the tour our first day in the city, and it was such an engaging start to a long weekend and perfect introduction to Louisville. Her storytelling, knowledge, and energy made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend when you visit Louisville!
