Making ballpark tours from single A to MLB. This is one of the nicer parks but Day 1 they were understaffed causing long lines. They ran out of food, but I gave grace because it was a $2 dog day. Day 2 when they (for the 2nd time) ran the fans away from getting autographs 20 minutes prior to gametime, I decided this was one of my least favorite, thus far. These autograph getters are very courteous (that I have observed) and are never run away at any other park I've been to. They know when to stop autographing, typically at gametime. They don't chase the players, nor distract them. Why would you run them away, especially at this park, where the players can simply just not come out of the lockeroom. I let guest services know my thoughts, but they seemed very uninterested. You are sure making it difficult for this baseball fans to return to your beautiful park. It's a nice place to visit, but I sure don't want to come back here. I don't really recommend the stadium, unless youre wanting to go to the Museum. It's worth watching the teams that play at the park and supporting them, it's just a mismanaged place all around, including the team store which is barren for visitors of Louisville. This is really sad for us all, but it is what it is I guess. If you're a baseball fan, definitely catch a game, but don't go out of your way, there are WAY better parks, more accomodating...

It is criminal that the team is named the Bats instead of the Louisville Sluggers! Great ballpark but over the years things have become less about the game and more about the outside entertainment. Commercials on the big screen, terrible pop music instead of rocknroll and baseball music, etc.. The kids seem to spend more time on the merry-go-round than watching the game!

Otherwise it's a great ballpark with excellent seating that makes you feel like you are closer than you realize. The biggest gripe I have is with the food. It is not just overpriced but it's generally terrible. The ONLY good place to get food is the vendor behind left field who sells the pork chop sandwiches etc. Excellent vendor!

And don't even think about renting a box for an event. Their caterer is horrible. Frozen cheap burgers and other assorted food. Cheap terrible beer.. I guess they assume that people who come to the games and rent a box for a season have no standards when it comes to food, beverages or music. Fix those three things and cut down on the TV commercials between plays and many of us will be compelled to rent a suite...

I don't even like baseball. But I always love a visit to Slugger Field. Because I have not visited many ball fields, I am not able to compare this place to similar facilities. However, I definitely soak in the great atmosphere when I'm there and I can understand why people love it.

Like I said, I don't like baseball, but there is so much going on to entertain me the whole time I'm there. The mascots are always putting on a great show... a very funny show.

It is a beautiful field which incorporates a historic, rail, freight depot as part of its design. The stadium consist of a main level (food, some retail, most seating) and an upper level for additional, premium seating.

There are plenty of food choices that cost a little more than regular fast food, though I feel the prices are reasonable for ballpark food. You'll find your staples such as popcorn and hot dogs, but the menus go much further to include chicken strips, pizza, sandwiches, and much more.

Always a fun time for me. And if you like that game they call baseball, then you should really have...

I’m not a sports guy. Politics, local governance, the mechanics of a city—that’s more my speed. But when your teenage sons want to watch baseball, you go. And sometimes, you find yourself appreciating the rhythm of it, even if you don’t speak the language. Louisville Slugger Field is a well-oiled machine. Clean, efficient, built for ease. No bad seats. Whether you know the game inside and out or just happen to be tagging along, the view holds up. The pacing, the hum of the crowd, the kind of energy that makes even the indifferent take a second glance. Drinks? Overpriced, but that’s the nature of ballparks. A minor grievance in the grand scheme of things. Even if baseball isn’t your thing, the opportunity here is real—a night under the lights, watching the world slow down for nine innings, soaking up something bigger than just a game. Some experiences are worth stepping outside of preference. This is one of them.

Amazing stadium!! For sure is not the biggest one but sometimes (such as this one) that’s not what matters the most. I came here for an hour tour, I was amazed on learning how the internal system worked, very efficient. Story says it was train station converted into a stadium and you can really appreciate the structure once you better understand that story. The old-feel it gives it nice to have, the bats (animal and baseball) are iconic pictures here, and the staff on site is amazing. I didn’t have a chance to catch a game during my visit but would hope to have one next time I am in town. Hopefully I would be able to visit some of the suites I got to know during the tour and enjoy the beautiful game and beautiful view it has to offer.
