I really don't like giving negative reviews, especially for businesses I like, but the communication between the clerk and me that occured today almost caused me to be stranded because of nearly running out of gas.
I called ahead of time to see if I could even sell my cards there and was informed that I could but values depend and so forth. At no time during the call did the clerk mention I needed ID to be able to complete such a transaction. I did not arrive with my ID on my person. I had switched cars and left it in the other vehicle.
If I wasn't literally scraping pennies together for gas money I couldn't care less, but since I'm flat broke and absolutely needed every cent from the sale of my cards, this interaction cannot go unmentioned.
Good luck in the future, but I will not be patronizing your establishment henceforth. If I didn't have to commute 30 minutes to get to this place this wouldn't even be an issue. I'd have gotten my ID...
Read moreBest place in West Michigan for nerd supplies. I only play Magic: The Gathering, and go there for Friday Night Magic. They have events for Pokemon and Yugioh as well. They have a huge selection of used video games from vintage systems through current platforms. There is a large selection of board games and card games. The comic book section is still rather small, perhaps 10k comics but I expect they will expand. Nate is very knowledgeable about the games he sells as well as the various comics universes. He will happily discuss comics and movies with fellow nerds. They also repair and sell vintage arcade machines like Pac-Man but I don't know much about that kind of stuff. If you're in the Ludington area and have even a passing interest in comics or gaming, stop in and check it out. Parking can be rough at times. If there aren't any free parking spaces on the street, there is a parking lot...
Read moreAs the wife to a DM and MTG gamer, this store is amazing. Easily one of the best game stores we’ve been to from Sault Ste Marie to Columbus OH. Their cards are all inventoried and priced accordingly to TCG player. They have an entirely separate room for gaming currently underway and a ton of artwork from MTG displayed and for sale. They have painted minis for $3 a piece, a TON of campaign books to look through, and even some retro arcade games to enjoy. The owners are very knowledgeable and put a lot into the store to offer a wide variety. It was also one of the cleanest game stores I’ve been to. We will be...
