The Lufkin Mall is pretty "okay" if you can even say that. There is an extremely poor variety of places to shop at, compared to other malls. The only stores "of note" anymore are Victoria's Secret/PINK, Bath and Body Works, and perhaps the shoe stores? But every other store in there is extremely basic or disorganized. While all the employees of all of the stores are extremely friendly, we don't have near the variety this town craves. After Hot Topic closed down, most people agreed: This mall sucks. The food options are limited, with a Great American Cookie, Chick-Fil-A, a Chinese Restaurant, and a Corndog 7. There's a movie theater that people go to, I guess. I'm pretty sure that sums it up. If you're a young person/teenager who likes things outside of the realm of Rue 21 and Buckle, there's definitely going to be little to nothing for you. It's more worth it to just drive down to Tyler or Houston for the day and do your shopping there; which is what my family does already. Until the Lufkin Mall get's a Hot Topic, Box Lunch, or Forever21, it's going to stay bland and...
Read moreDefinitely needs more stores.. Like many people on here, I agree that this mall is outdated and needs some new stores to replace the old ones. There would be so much business if they put in a Hollister, Sephora or Ulta, Starbucks, and maybe a H&M if they really want some good business. This is a small town, and teenagers get bored easily and come to the mall, but since there's not much stores that appeal to them, there isn't near as much buying and consumers at this mall. I'm not sure if the community takes these reviews into consideration, they could get a lot of people to come to the mall more. Teenagers love to go with friends and spend money at the mall, and are probably the majority of buyers at this mall, including young adults. Make this mall relevant...
Read moreWe were disappointed that so many storefronts were closed inside the mall. There's little to no food available unless you'd like a pretzel or a deep-fried hot dog. They have a Chinese restaurant, and of course a Chick-fil-A. The Chick-fil-A look like it was thriving, however our family can't eat there due to allergens.
They have a few great stores like a Kirkland's, and an average shoe store along with a JCPenney. It would be great if they got some more stores in the open spots to draw in customers. We just think of it as a covered strip mall.
I suppose for a really small town we should be grateful that we have a tiny Mall. They're trying, and the mall was clean, but we wish they had...
