Bohn Park — Attraction in Lyons

Beautiful static family park. You can fish , bike ride, it’s a river float and the current down is perfect speed. They are amazingly clean . My family had a carne asada with there grills and they were cleaned . We had a perfect summer family picnic day. Oh and they have restroom , very clean as well . Loved the kids park . The park is perfectly ok. It’s got an average playground and a concrete skate ramp, unique for a small town to have. BUT Lyons has completely lost its mind when it comes to the $5 for 4hrs parking fee 5a-10p 365. Either the town has mismanaged taxpayers money (they have a track record of their ineptitude to manage money) OR this is a blatant attempt to keep out low income families from Longmont. Very nice park. Came upon it by accident and ended up staying for hours .The wife and I sat with our feet in the water than walked over the bridge and had a great encounter with what I'm assuming was the park attendants an older couple who we chatted with for a few minutes. Also stopped by the other night and came across a suspiciously friendly fox who came and sat next to us about 5 feet away. Excited to see how the skatepark turns out ....
