The Lyons Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Lyons

I ordered a plain burger, the burger with jalapenos and the burger with avocado and bacon. 2/3 burgers were great. The fries were okay. They told us there were out of bottled water. They gave us the plain burger with pickles, ketchup and mustard. When my husband asked for them to fix the burger bc that wasn't what we had ordered he was told they wouldn't. I then spoke to another employee (with the receipt in hand that said we ordered a plain burger) he said he would see what he could do. By then there were two bites taken of the burger. We were told that it would take ten minutes to get the burger out. By then we were already done with the meal and my child didn't eat(his was the plain burger). This could have been easily fixed if they had just replaced the burger with the correct order. I should not have to argue with the employee about getting an order right. New to the area and trying all of the local spots. Picked up a Colorado Burger, Bacon Cheese burger, bacon cheese fries, and a single order of fries after work yesterday. The service was quick despite there being around 4 groups ahead of me.

My Colorado burger was what I expect in a burger. Big bun, soft, tasty toppings. My husband said his bacon cheese burger was good - not super amazing, but good when you are just craving a burger. The fry portions on both orders were great. The fries were a little soggy, but we expected this since it’s a 15 min drive up the mountain for us. Good amount of salt on the fries and they even included napkins and ketchup in the bag even though I didn’t ask for it.

It’s a good, cheap burger place. We will go back when we are craving a burger and fries. We are going back sooner to get some ice cream because that looked delicious when I was waiting for...

I posted this the afternoon that we went to the Dairy Bar and also decided to message on facebook. I heard back from the shop within an hour and they offered to rebuy shakes and fries for us. I understand that things happen and I really appreciate when a business hears it customers and offers to make it right. Well Done Guys!

We have been to the Dairy Bar a number of times over the years and it has always been one of our favorite places. We stopped in today after a hike in Lyons and ordered 4 shakes. I have no idea what happened but the shakes were terrible. They had a really distinct and horrible flavor. None of us were able to finish our shakes.
