The A Lodge team is incredible and made our stay on the day before and night of our wedding absolutely magical! The Pride of Lyons is a beautiful Victorian home with comfy beds, a hot tub, and plenty of space to connect and spread out with your nearest and dearest and make your celebration truly special. However, it's the people who really stood out as making positive ripples in the world. We booked last minute and Elysa and Asa made the entire booking process so smooth, which was so helpful for us being days out from our wedding. During our stay, Asa was super responsive (even during the night going above and beyond!), kind, and helpful. Chandler the housekeeper is an absolute gem of a human! Not only does she do an incredible job, we had one of the most heart open meaningful conversations I had the honor of sharing. Another rare opportunity with rental of this home is that there are other units that your wedding guests can rent to stay next to your nearest and dearest AND it's next to Rock Garden, which is available as a gathering place. It was lovely as an after party spot that we could continue to join around a fire place and celebrate at. Only a few minutes walk from our beautiful wedding venue River Bend (check it out!). The bartender Jake made all our guests feel welcomed and even gifted the bride and groom a Smores kit. Another incredible warm and kind human we met was Michael. He kindly generously made us nourishing food and coffee in the morning at the Rock Garden food truck, even though it was outside of normal operating hours. With not having had the opportunity to eat much as the bride and groom at our wedding running around everywhere, this made such a meaningful positive difference in our day! We also had a friend with us that has gluten allergies and they even had gluten free buns and other options. Our only regret is that we didn't book for longer before another guest scooped the following day. You'll want to stay multiple days!!! We will absolutely be back and making this our anniversary spot every fall, as well as excited to come out to see it's magic in the winter. Deepest gratitude for the...
Read moreI was really looking forward to our stay at this lodging, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. When we arrived and after unloading our belongings, we noticed that the front door lock was damaged and the wood in the door jam was missing, as if the door had been broken down before. With two tired kids after a long drive, we had to pack everything back into the car and drive to Denver to find suitable lodging.
I must say, the owner was understanding and cooperative in refunding our money, but the lock situation should have been identified by whoever cleaned the unit before our arrival. It's concerning that such an obvious security issue was overlooked. When we called to report the problem, the owner's response about it being a safe neighborhood felt dismissive, as if that made the lack of a functioning lock acceptable.
On a positive note, the unit itself had potential. It looked cute and seemed to have been nicely updated. However, the lack of maintenance was evident. The front landscaping was unkempt, with weeds growing onto the sidewalk. It really affected the overall curb appeal and first impression of the place.
All in all, it's a shame that our stay was marred by these issues. The lodging had potential, but the owner should put more effort into both security and maintaining the property's appearance. Until these issues are addressed, I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreWe were looking for a place to stay close to Ester Park/RMNP but not in town that's too commercial, and found this home (airbnb like) which was perfect for us. ||||Good: ||* the Manager (Micheal) was very friendly and welcoming. ||* Very conveniently located and safe neighborhood. ||* beautiful front and backyard. ||* has all the stuff and more to make your stay confortable.||* Town of Lyon is a musical town. So much live music all across. Don't miss the Wednesday Concerts in Town one road down from this lodge.||* Hot tub was nice after long day.||||Not So Good:||* it's an old property so some things shows aging like doors. ||* all the Full Bath were on first floor (so all who stay on second floor) needs to come down for shower etc. Not a big deal, but just wanted to point out. ||* Not too many food options (although lots of Bars) and grocery in town. Nearest is in Longmont (15-20 mins away). So plan accordingly. ||||All in all one of our best stay and will definitely be back to hang out with lovely people...
