A Hidden Gem in a “Local Chain” Before you dismiss the words “local chain,” hear me out—this place feels anything but ordinary. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit: strings of peppers and lemons hang overhead, intricate photo art lines the walls, and an elaborate tapestry ties the whole space together. It’s warm, inviting, and full of personality. As for the food—outstanding. They were out of goat the day I visited, so I went with the lamb biryani (spice level 4), and it was absolutely delicious. Flavorful, perfectly spiced, and deeply satisfying. But the real highlight wasn’t just the food—it was the people. I had the honor of dining with Baswant, the owner, who sat down with me over tea and even gave me a little tour of the block. He’s kind, generous, and wonderfully gregarious. His wife and cousin, who were also working that day, made every guest feel like family. Sharing that meal with them was easily the highlight of my month. I recently visited this Indian restaurant and was genuinely impressed by both the flavors and the overall vibe. If you’re looking for authentic street-style Indian snacks, this place delivers!

Chai – Absolutely delightful! Rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced with cardamom and ginger. It had that home-style feel, served piping hot with just the right balance of sweetness.

Onion Pakora – Crispy, golden, and fresh! The pakoras had a great crunch on the outside while staying soft and flavorful inside. Paired with their green chutney, it’s a must-try.

Aloo Chat – Tangy, spicy, and full of flavor. The potatoes were nicely roasted and coated with a generous mix of chutneys, onions, and spices. A true street food experience.

Samosa Chat – My favorite! The samosas were stuffed well and flaky, crushed and topped with yogurt, mint and tamarind chutneys, and a sprinkle of sev. Every bite was a burst of textures and flavors.

I came here on a late Sunday afternoon after Reffin soccer in Boulder - I went to find this place by word of mouth instead of looking it up - so I walked by it at first and hadn’t even realized I passed it until I was on the other side of the street.

I was greeted by the owner once I entered and we had a lovely conversation as I waited for my food. Her Brother who has a food truck called Hurry for Curry is often in Lyons and had told me about his sister opening up Indian bites in Lyons. Needless to say I was extremely happy to finally try this place out.

The ambiance was lovely and had a serene calm environment to it. I ordered vegetable pakoras, garlic naan and a lamb Korma which all came out within ten minutes of ordering.

Vegetable pakoras are my favorite - so this place was already a hit for me. The Lamb Korma was the perfect spice level (Medium).

The prices were fair, the food fantastic - and the experience phenomenal.
