Is it possible for this venue to be more beautiful than what you see in pictures? Yes, meet the staff and owners that run it and you will fall even more in love. Honesty, we can't brag about Scott, Sara and Chris enough. They are professional, experienced, positive, hard working, detailed and their ability to make you feel like your event is the most important thing in the world is unmatched!! Simply put, they get it!
The evening before my daughter's wedding there was a bad hail storm that really made a mess of the venue. There were leaves and branches all over, as well as puddles of water in the reception area. They could have left it looking like that and chalking it up to unfortunate weather events that honestly were out of their control. NOPE!! Scott, Sara and Chris dug in, called in reinforcements and had the entire place looking like new in less than 2 hours. Here's the best part, they did it all without anyone asking, with a smile on their face and one goal in mind, making the day perfect. River Bend Team, you succeeded and our family will forever be grateful!
I'll finish this review with one final note, considering how stressful weddings and large events can be, work with the best and allow this amazing group of people at River Bend to help take some of that stress away. It's worth...
Read moreOn our tour of the property, we knew immediately we wanted to get married here. The venue feels like something out of a fairytale. We felt that the property was very reflective of our time together in Colorado and would be an amazing experience for all of our out of state guests. It was only a quick 15 minute drive from our home and we love the town of Lyons. Our guests stayed in Boulder & Estes Park, as the venue is in the middle of the two. There are also adorable tiny homes on the property which was great for our guests with kiddos. The venue manager, Lauren, was wonderful to work with. We had a 75 degree sunny day, so we didn’t have to worry about rain but if we did the tent walls come down and you can order tent heaters. Our wedding was in early fall, so having a bonfire was wonderful and our guests enjoyed every minute of it. In addition, the year before they had an “open house” where you could go and meet with lots of vendors they work closely with. So many of our guests commented that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever seen. We were so grateful that we found such a great venue and all of the vendors they work with...
Read moreOnly down part of this park is the fee to park or the lack of parking. Great place to take the family for a fall day of outdoor activities or camping... that is if you can find an open site. There's a beautiful playground with a zip- line, tree house, spiderweb shaped climbing net, miniature river waterpark for the toddlers, fields for sports, stage and of course the river... spot to climb up the wall and jump into the river (not too deep, but deep enough to be safe), several launch/landing points for tubing and wading, also large areas to dip off along the banks of the river.
Worth the time and effort. Can get crowded but it still is so large that you will still have room to play. It's not the same as it was 25 years ago and that's a fact. The park is facilitated with staff that keeps the new park very clean. They are present and friendly. Enjoy this one... it is literally the only place that charges to park or visit nowadays that I will actually feel good...
