If you're planning to go to Rocky Mountain National Park / Estes Park or any surrounding areas, stop into The Bud Depot. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and the selection is top notch.
Specifically, I worked with Molly on my first stop. She helped us select some pipes for our trip then provided plenty of options for Bud to use. She spent extra time with us as we were obviously out-of-towners and didn't know any of the local strains. She was so incredibly insightful and fun to work with.
We had such a good experience, we went back two days later, this time halfway through our trip. The selections we made were TREMENDOUS and more potent than we are used to in the Midwest. We expected just to walk in, get a second employee to help us quickly and get out. Well, we found Marissa to be just as insightful and kind as Molly and she made some more insightful recommendations. Both Molly and Marissa were cognizant of what we wanted to spend and kept us under budget, while providing ridiculously good recommendations.
And the Bud? I can't even begin to explain how potent it was. These recommendations were not only insightful, but helped us really relax and enjoy our evenings after full days of rafting and hiking.
WHEN we return to Estes Park, we will surely be stopping by The Bud Depot (probably multiple times again). This was a great experience that made me love the...
Read moreI am new to legal weed, not a virgin, but this is the second dispensary (Rec) that I have ever been to. Also note that I am transient, and my budget had been 20$ at each. This place was wonderful, I was greeted by a charming stoner named Dan (I believe, or Dave, bigger guy, glasses, softer spoken and with a wonderfully hippy-esque lilt that makes you immediately comfortable and sets you at ease) who noticed I was a Veteran (first time anyone has actually read my whole ID, like I would. Curious by nature and always wanting to soak up information) and told me that I get a discount! This is also a first as I always have to ask, and nearly nobody does Veterans/First Responder/Police discounts in my experience. Once Inside you find yourself in a medium sized room full of the aromatic beauty of the herb in which they specialize, I didn't browse around so I cannot comment on the stores entirety. At the counter, good Sir Dan/Dave helped me out, I asked for something that was low price and indica heavy, I explained my PTSD, and told of my financial woes, They found me a great deal and gave me my discount. The strain was Guptilla, and a CBS strain called Nina's Web, the Guptilla is fantastic, haven't tried the other as of yet. In summation: VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
Read moreSo I started going to bud depot in 2012. This was before the helping hands bought it. At that time it was medical only and they were always looking to help with pains etc. The quality was always good.
After helping hands bought it everything was OK at first. Then they started pushing the recreational part. Over time they have been getting worse and worse on the med side. Meanwhile the recreational side gets better quality and better strains just cause they make more money off of tourism.
I just want to say. Medical was the reason you got rec! It is sad that helping hands ruined the quality of care giving for the greed of money. I was a member at bud depot for over 4 years. I am severely disappointed in what helping hands has done to what bud depot once was. R. I. P. Medical caring, hello greed.
Also helping hands is more expensive than bud depot just cause it is in Boulder. I think they lost sight of what really mattered. Enjoy the money since you obviously no longer care for the ones that actually need it instead of...
