Amazing service we stayed for a dance convention with the kids and first I want to point out how friendly full of smiles are which is very welcoming. Our room needed maintenance nothing crazy but they came it didn't matter how late it was they had maintenance available and did not keep us waiting the issue was resolved in matter in minutes. Day 2 our thermostat wasn't working they came and fixed it right away. We decorated our door for dance and put a silly sign for housekeeping and to our surprise they read it, responded and gave us extra towls which we all know tools are counted and housekeeping always are tight on things but being with so many kids, dancing and sweating it was nice they took care of us. The conversation is tide to the hotel so due to a rainy weekend it was nice we didn't have to step out wet with our dance gear. Thank you everyone at the Hilton for making this expirence wonderful. We definitely will be back! Best hotel service I've stayed in a very long time... Suggestions: Give your housekeeping cards to fill out and leave in room so if someone wants to tip generously we are confident we tip the well deserved housekeeper. :) Thank you Cindy pleasure talking to you and letting us know Linah serviced our room! Linah you made our kids smile to see you took a sec to write a simple message to acknowledge them and thank you for going the extra mile. Please see the front desk for your tip. Thank you the Kelso family!

Great location but WORST front desk personnel EVER. Ann and Will! my family and I came for thanksgiving break. Checked in Thursday around noon. We were greeted by Ann with a blunt face and very unprofessional attitude. When we asked to talk to a manager for an upgrade she said she was the supervisor for that night and every one was off. When we asked to have a look at the suite before checking in she said she couldn’t because there were no one to show the room and she couldn’t give us a card to have a quick look at the suite by ourselves. We said it was the rule and we left. Friday night. We went to the executive lounge for the happy hour that we were told from 5-7 pm. But because there was nothing we called the front desk and were told to get vouchers for the restaurant. We went to take the vouchers and WILL was there. He handed us two drink vouchers and only one food voucher. When my husband wondered why we were given only one food voucher he said “the appetizer is big enough” for my husband and I, and that we were entitled only for ONE. my husband wondered because the first day we took 2 for drinks and 2 for food. And Will said “and they accepted it?!” I am not sure what he meant. But he was super rude. And then he opened the drawer with a frown, wrote the date and the room number and literally THREW THE VOUCHER ON THE COUNTER. When my husband asked him why he’s doing this he said sorry it sled. And it didn’t slide. Does this hotel even have one nice- not professional - front desk staff??!? I have visited many hiltons all over the world and have never dealt such rude personnel. I’d like to be contacted for this humiliation for your diamond members. Our stay was from Thursday 11/23 to Sat 11/25 room 1438

I returned from a 3 night visit at Hilton Monona Terrace in Madison, WI, and felt compelled to write negative Google, Yelp, and Twitter reviews of my stay, but I decided to reach out to Hilton first to describe my experience and request help rather than make my experience publicly known. I first was directed to the manager of the incorrect hotel. Then a manager was not available. Then I was directed to Hilton customer service, but I was not able to select the Hilton I stayed at because Wisconsin Hiltons were not available to be selected on the provided feedback form. So I originally did not want to share public feedback at all, however now I actually do. Listen, the room I stayed in for an 800 weekend fee was disgusting. The sheets had what looks like menstrual blood stains, what looked like makeup stains on the pillow cases, and there was thick, green, crusty nasal mucus that I noticed scratching my face on the blanket at night (I turned on the light to see what this was and was repulsed to see this). There were also large stains on the carpet. I tried to remedy this grosses by politely by calling the front desk to have the sheets, pillow cases, and comforter changed. I even left a 20 dollar tip for the incoming housekeeper as a friendly act. It turns out they only changed the blood-stained sheets and left the crusty boogers for me to try and ignore. I am a reasonable person, but I couldn't be more frustrated with Hilton. I do have photographs of all of this. Attached is one for viewing pleasure. Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, I wish you were more customer friendly.

We were so impressed by everything from the lobby atmosphere, to the room accommodations, to the staff all around! Our original stay was Tuesday, 3/22 through Saturday, 3/25 to get my father-in-law set up with hospice, but unfortunately he passed that Wednesday during our stay. So, we had to extend the days through the following Tuesday. There were a lot of moving parts, planning, and logistics to figure out. Will Zeng at the front desk was compassionate and went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated. The bartender, Zeny, was a positive ray of light who was always happy to see us anytime we were in the lobby or sitting near the bar. Both Will and Zeny were great at their work, fun to talk to, and genuinely happy to be there. They made our very long, stressful, exhausting, and emotional week more bearable. We can’t thank them enough for making us feel like family and not just a hotel guest. Our room was clean, spacious, and had incredible views of the capital and downtown. There were a ton of restaurants to choose from, as well as stores nearby for anything else needed, so we absolutely loved the location. We also asked for our room to be made up each day, and there were no issues with that either. We had a clean room and fresh towels. We didn't even have to call each day to ask, just the one time in the beginning, and they never disappointed!

The hotel is nice but unaccommodating. You keep getting charged for basic things that should already be provided. $20 A DAY for parking!!! And there is no other place to park. $10 a day for internet even though my booking said free internet. I was even charged $2 for dental floss when i have been to 2 and 3 star hotels that provided that for free. ( this is actually not a big deal) The sheets were DIRTY which was horrible considering i booked a good hotel just for the cleanliness and comfort. I had to go out and buy sheets to put over the sheets because i didnt want anyone coming in my room due to COVID-19. (Picture reference) The only good thing they had going for them is their covid prevention protocol. Like you needed a card to go up the elevator and rooms are sealed after they are cleaned and the rooms are kept unbooked for atleast 2 days. And thats the only reason i gave it 3 stars. I tried talking to the guy at the reception about my issues when i was checking out and he was very rude; didnt even look at me when i was talking to him... the only thing he did for me was remove my internet charges. They already got my money... so he didnt care much of what i had to say. I definitely wont be staying there again and will always advice people i know not to either.

I really enjoy this hotel. It's in a good location super close to the square. I like the rooms and it's quiet at night. This hotel is very wheelchair accessible which is great. The restaurant is good, they've made some changes to the menu lately that I really enjoy. Only thing on the menu I'm not loving right now is the Carrot soup it's too thick. I love self parking and elevators straight up to your room (key required) is such a bonus. I like the little store in the lobby and the bar too. The employees here are always great, truly kind people which is much appreciated. The gym and pool need upgrading but are decent. For some reason you can't use the Peloton bike and 1 of the treadmills. In the summer there are free concerts on the terrace and they are so fun. Absolutely must go once if you're in Madison in the summer 😊 All of these photos were taken inside of the hotel or on the terrace btw, great views! Oh and you can take an indoor tunnel down to the running path you can't beat it!
