Although my first time in the store was good and gave me a positive experience, when I came in the second time, the young girl who helped me was extremely rude and gave me a terrible taste for this location in Mansfield. I am disappointed because it could be such a great place. I brought some items in to sell, and was told I could select to pick up any unsold items or donate them. I chose to pick them up. After receiving my email that my items had been appraised, I came in to collect my items (2 days later). I was informed my items had been donated although I had selected pickup. After I explained that I was told I could pick them up, the young girl told me that items not picked up the same day would be donated. I told her I was never told this when I dropped off. She continued to argue with me in front of all the others at the register saying that I WAS told and that they are clear about this. She was SO rude in her delivery! I wouldnât have been upset, had she had an ounce of customer service and respect which she didnât. I told her she shouldnât be so rude to a customer and that she doesnât KNOW what I was or wasnât told at drop off since she wasnât the person who helped me. She continued to rudely argue with me, saying âthe manager took care of you so I know she told youâ. I canât believe how rude she was. I understand she was young. But if I owned this establishment, I would want my employees to treat customers very differently than I was treated today. This particular girl needs some training on customer service and professionalism (especially for retail work). I asked for her name, so that I could speak to the owner about my experience and she said âI donât have to tell you thatâ. She was SO rude from start to finish. I donât think I will be back to shop there although thatâs sad because they had really cute stuff at...
Read moreIâve visited this store multiple times and have always found it to be clean and well-organized. However, my experiences with selling gently used clothing here have been disappointing. On three separate occasions, I brought in up-to-date, stylish, and gently worn items, only to be told they werenât acceptable due to being ânot in styleâ or âtoo wrinkled.â
What stood out most was noticing other items being accepted that were visibly more worn and outdated than mine. This inconsistency raises concerns, and I canât help but feel this might be an issue of bias, as Iâve also heard similar experiences from other people of color at this location.
I recommend the staff remember that this is a consignment store where clothes are expected to show some wear. Investing in a steamer might also help address concerns about wrinkles. Consistency and fairness in evaluating items are key to creating a welcoming and equitable experience for...
Read moreI had the worst experience trying to sell my clothes at this store. They initially quoted me a wait time of 45 minutes, but I ended up waiting for over an hour and a half. After all that time, they told me they didnât want to buy my clothes because of the âconditionââwhich they could have easily assessed much earlier instead of wasting my time. Whatâs worse, everyone elseâs clothes were in similar trash bags like mine, yet somehow mine were singled out. They also mentioned they donât take clothes from Shein, which they could have told me upfront instead of making me wait. The entire process was disorganized and unprofessional. I wonât be returningâthis was truly the worst experience Iâve had with any...
