Floor & Decor — Attraction in Maple Grove

Horrible delivery process! Need better staff training and delivery company communication!!! We ordered flooring at the Maple Grove location, they didn’t have enough boxes in stock so they ordered the remainder from the Woodbury location. They said our delivery was scheduled for Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon I still hadn’t heard or was notified about my delivery so I called Maple Grove. The employee had no idea what the delivery window was or if it would even be delivered on Tuesday, which it wasn’t. She said she’d put a post-it for the manager coming in at 6:30 to call me, no phone call! I rearranged my schedule for that day so I would be home for the delivery. She also said I needed to call Woodbury separately to see whether the other part of my order would be delivered that day. The employee from Woodbury gave me the phone number of a transport company that I now needed to schedule delivery with…which I was originally told was already scheduled. Wednesday morning I received a call out of nowhere from Joe at the Maple Grove store to say part of my order would be at my house in the next 30-35 minutes, thankfully I was home! The delivery person wasn’t strong enough to get it off of his truck and asked if I had anyone home that could get in his truck to help! Finally, he repositioned his truck to not be on such an incline and got it off the truck. Then, I missed a call from someone named Mandy at a transport company about scheduling my other delivery from Woodbury. I attempted to reach her twice, leaving her two messages yesterday and didn’t hear back. Now today, Thursday morning, my husband calls Mandy and leaves her a message saying we would be home on Friday or Monday. He received a call a couple hours later from the delivery driver that he was at my house with my order…well no one is home because we were told we still needed to schedule the delivery and hadn’t heard back from Mandy. It’s raining out and definitely can’t leave the order outside….terrible! The delivery guy said he’d only wait 20 minutes while one of us had to pick up and leave work over 30 minutes away. My teenage son arrived home from school before my husband got there and was asked by the delivery driver to help get the pallet off the truck because the driver wasn’t able to on his own. Why on earth would you offer delivery for over $6k of flooring if no one at either stores knows what the hell happens customer delivery or even who can answer a delivery question!?!?! They sell you defective products knowingly and never take responsibility for it later . Crooked company . The vinyl floor brands that are being sold at their store is straight garbage. I got NuCore installed and it got separated two month later . I hired different installer for installing the rest of it and he said that he ain’t even going to touch it how bad this floor is , locking system brakes , planks don’t stay together . After calling the store we found out that this floor was discontinued, well for obvious reason , and their pro Josh from maple grove MN store came over the next day to “inspect” the floor claiming that he is there to help cause he knows how bad this product is and that company will try to blame it on contractors and that he wants them to not only refund me for unused boxes even though it was more than 3 months since I bought it ( they have three months returning policy) but also refund me for floor planks that are already installed and not returnable and also reimbursed me for labor , just to shoot me an email 10 days later saying that after inspection he came to conclusion that contractors are the problem and all he can do is giving me store credit which is basically nothing cause what will I do with 3k of credit from the store I’ll never buy anything again . Luckily everything was video and audio recorded when this pro Josh was at my place admitting how bad this floor is and that store is going to try and get away with it . After doing some research on NuCore product I found out that people all over the country been having issues with it and it’s going to be a class act lawsuit at some point , so I contacted that lawyer and submitted all the recordings. Had a good experience going to the store and picking out flooring and getting talked into warranty on the flooring (Nucore vinyl plank) and spending over 6 grand on flooring. But Within the first year of it being professionally installed the flooring failed. (Cracks, cupping, completely broken in some spots). This flooring has a supposedly 25 year residential warranty and 15 year commercial. From the very start of trying to do a claim this has been a NIGHTMARE!! This company will not take accountability for any of it. After I sent in the claim they emailed and called me to tell me that because I didn’t contact them as soon as the first little sign of damage was done my warranty is void. And also said they think it’s the installers fault. I’ve never seen a floor fail this bad! I should have went with products from Home Depot or Menards (which was way cheaper). I have tried stating my disappointment many times and they don’t care. They said I can hire an inspector to come out and tell me there is damage but it’s not going to matter because of the 30 day discovery policy. Stay away from the company!! I know nucore flooring actually has a lawsuit because of the horrible flooring so I can’t believe floor and decor is even selling it.

EDIT: your response is pointless, I have already reached out to your claims department many many times with my concerns and disgust, and nothing has been solved. They will just keep sending the same pre typed...
