Nordstrom Rack — Local services in Maple Grove

I have been a loyal customer of Nordstrom for years. Admittedly, I never really go to the rack. I even worked for Nordstrom for years in college, even as a manager. I went in today to find a couple of things for my husband. He really needed navy socks for a business trip. I found some, but they didn't have a tag on them. They were a set and I could tell the set had been broken apart. When I went to the register to check out, I told the salesperson the socks didn't have a tag. She said she had to go check. When she came back, she had a black set. She rudely informed me, that I could buy the black set of 3, but since the navy ones were missing a pair, she couldn't sell them. I paused for a moment, and wanted to challenge her, that I should still be able to purchase the navy set of 2. It could just be a price adjustment. I told her I really needed the navy ones, and she said it was "policy" that she couldn't sell me the broken pack. She was so rude and I knew it wasn't worth challenging her. I couldn't believe how impertinent she was. Knowing Nordstrom values personally, I knew that she could have sold the socks. I was so frustrated, I just said forget it. I realize staffing is an issue currently, but no one needs to be rude and disrespectful. Now I know why I don't usually go to the Rack. However, I would believe that Nordstrom would like their customers to get the same or as close to the same level of service at both stores under the...

I walked into Nordstrom rack and was asked if I wanted a mask I said no thanks Medical, and proceeded to go shop. About two minutes later I was asked to wear a mask and I told them medical. They said we can’t ask you about what your medical problem is but you cannot shop here. And they asked me three times in a row if I was going to wear a mask and I would not answer. Then the person told me they were the manager and went and got their personalCell phone. They said three times in a row are you going to wear the mask I said please leave me alone. Then they said we are going to have to take action. Ii went to the Front to follow the manager and hear him make the call to the police I did this to make sure he was not exaggerating the situation. I asked him what he was doing he would not tell me. I ended up leaving because I was with a friend who was scared because of what the manager was doing. I looked into the law and it says that Nordstrom needs to offer curbside to people who have a medical condition. The Internet will not work so that I can use curbside. The manager called the police and And when I left with my friend I saw that they did come. I really don’t understand why when I have a medical condition I cannot shop and there is no curbside to bring something I may need I needed a coat and now I will have to take my business elsewhere. If you want to waste your money, and beware used mascara, and who knows what else!!

The store is in chaos! I picked up one shoe “thinking” they have the other set aside in the back due to the shoe being a bit on the spendier side, “NOPE” went to the register and the idiot cashier guy rang up one shoe and put it into the bag. I had to say, hmm, don’t you have the other shoe sitting up here. He said “ahh yeah, I’m not sure what we do or where it is, let me check.” He then says, “ahh yeah, it is only one shoe, did you still want it!” 😳 Come on! I said, why would I want to buy ONE SHOE! So there was a shoe missing. It is the responsibility of the store to go thru at night and match up, wouldn’t you think? Such lazy behavior. I also purchased a mascara, “better then sex” It was used and returned! Told the manager about it and she said I’m sorry we can not return that item! So I’m out 30.00 for the mascara that someone else used and returned. Why and how were they able to return the item then? If you want to burn your money, then go to the Nordstrom Rack in Maple Grove, where they lack common sense, and don’t inspect anything they just throw it back on the chaos of the shelf they have.
