Town Green Park — Attraction in Maple Grove

We rented the Town Green Garden over 6 months in advance. I filled out questionnaires, called to confirm, paid in full and finally got ahold of someone to issue the permit. Fast forward to our wedding day, I pull up with my groom and our photographers to find a carnival themed grad party set up. Music blaring, balloons and tents everywhere. I was crushed. We spent more time trying to understand what was happening that everyone at the wedding seen me in my dress before I walked down and I didn’t get any before pictures with just my groom. Horrible experience. I had to call for three days to get any response only to find that they double booked. They issued a refund, but only after I felt like I hounded them. I truly just wanted to know if it was my error, the other party or the city. What was supposed to be a beautiful spot that my husband I frequented while dating turned into a nightmare and I’m honestly still bitter about how it made me feel on my wedding day and hope no other bride...

Beautiful venue but the concession stand, when it's even open, is terrible. Usually only one or two kids with no real training and no understanding of efficient customer service. Very slow - took 30+ minutes to get through the line. It would be nice if the organizations running events had the option to run the stand themselves as they understand the time limits of the performances and how to ensure patrons are able to get back to their seats in a timely manner. (For example, accommodating a 15 minute intermission so patrons don't miss the show). Even when there's more than two people managing the stand, they have everyone focusing on one order at a time rather than each attendant taking an order - lots of standing around. It's not the kid's fault - it's the lack of training and often not having a real manager there...

Absolutely love this place! There is always some event going on especially during the summer like Maple Grove Days. Music, fireworks, food trunsk, contests, they have it all here. Family friendly atmosphere. Good bathrooms.

Right next to the shopping/business area. Also right next to the library and community center. Such a great location - everything is within walking distance. There are multiple parking garages nearby but public transport is a bit of a walk away.
