The guys at UBreakIFix have saved me from going crazy and my electronics time and time again!
I’m a bit of klutz when it comes to my electronics. So, after my phone back cover cracked, my Chromebook keyboard and I shared a sweet dessert, and my HP laptop hard drive died, I thought my piggy bank was going to commit suicide! Lucky for me, UBreakIFix was there to tell me that it’s not that bad, can be fixed, gave more than reasonable prices, and provided great customer service and a pleasant experience each time!
When it comes to my phone, I’m attached at the hip to it! And normally I’m very careful and very good about taking care of my $500 baby. But of course, the one time I didn’t have a case on my phone, I dropped it four times in a one-hour period, and ended up cracking the back cover in several places! My phone is not under warranty and most places would charge an arm and a leg to replace the back cover.
After doing some research on the Internet, I found UBreakIFix at a location near me. I walked in, showed them the phone, and got a quote of $60 – which included ordering the needed part and installation. A week later, the phone back cover arrived, and it took about 45 minutes for them to install it! And Voila! I have a “brand-new” phone again!
One evening, I was eating some peach preserves that I accidentally wound up knocking onto my mom’s Chromebook keyboard. Sorry Mom! The Chromebook (thankfully!) still worked well, but the keyboard keys where the sweet sauce was spilled, were getting stuck and not typing well. I’d gone to BestBuy and was quoted anywhere between $250-400 dollars to take in the Chromebook, assess the damage, and clean it out (granted the motherboard wasn’t affected).
But UBreakIFix charged only $60 to clean underneath the keyboard. This sure helped, but did not resolve the issue completely. UBreakIFix then suggested replacing the keyboard (with installation) for an additional $30. A total of $90! Considering that this model of Chromebook is no longer on the market and it’s only the keyboard that needs replacing, this was a steal deal for us!
Finally, a week ago, my HP computer hard drive crashed and died taking with it all my pictures and music that I’d had for the last 10 years! So, when I didn’t back up my data (which ironically, I planned to do the day before my computer died but didn’t get around to), I was upset that I’d lost it all! I’d dealt with HP regarding this computer two years earlier with issues unrelated to the hard drive. So, having had a sad experience with HP people and having pretty good idea what it would look and feel like, I decided to turn again to my newfound savior – UbreakIFix. While it turned out that the hard drive was unsalvageable, lucky for me, they were able to pull off and transfer my data to an external driver! This cost me about $60. Also, I was given the option to order and install a new hard drive for $160. But since I’ve always had issues with my HP from day one, I’d decided it was better to invest in a new computer.
The bottom line is, my each experience with the guys at UBreakIFix was pleasant, professional, hassle-free, and best of all, did not dent my savings account! I highly recommend this company and its customer service to anyone who needs a phone, computer, or other favorite...
Read moreWorst facility to bring your mobile device for any sort of repair or diagnostic. I had a very bad expirience with them. Here is my story, hopefully will save many customers. My phone was under the warranty and had "Screen burn-in" which was a manufacture issue. So, i called Samsung. They gave me two options. Option 1: send device to their facility for diagnostic and repair. Option 2: bring device to their contractor Ubreakifix (located at 10 Willow rd #4, Maple Shade Township, NJ 08052) for diagnostic and repair. Sending device to Samsung facility obligate me to stay without cellphone for about 5-7 business days. I could not afford this, so, unfortunately I brought my device to Ubreakifix located at 10 Willow rd #4, Maple Shade Township, NJ 08052. They diagnosed my device and replaced the screen within 2 hours. Next day i checked my cellphone at workplace under the microscope and was surprised. They left fingerprints all over Rear View Camera from inside of the device. Fingerprints on the sensitive camera lenses and glass. Of course, i made pictures of it through the microscope as a proof. Called Samsung right away and explained them what their contractors did with my phone. So, i had to ship my device to samsung facility and get a loaner phone for $50 (which was out of my pocket). Result, samsung ran required tests and found an issue with front camera. So they replaced front camera (which was not an issue when i called samsung. Somehow ubreakifix simply missed this during tests) and rear view camera (after sort of sloppy job after ubreakifix). Once i get my device back from samsung, i visited Ubreakifix facility. I showed them pictures of fingerprints on my camera and receipts for the loaner phone. They looked at pictures and said it was fine (from their words: fingerprints are not a problem on optical elements) and all expenses for the loaner phone were on me. I am an engineer in laser industry, so i know criteria for optics. I am not that one who you gonna sell this. I am not even saying how much inconvenience it brought. I had to call multiple times to samsung, had to get a loaner phone, back up data and then restore it. Generally speaking, dear customers check your devices properly. Most likely, they just count on trust from customers and they do not expect that somebody can check more precisely. Guys from Ubreakifix, here is my personal advise to you: if you are trying to be professionals, so at least wear gloves or finger cots and ESD to prevent damages caused by static electricity. Improve your costomer service.
Just want to clarify, i did not want to come back to you after you perform such a bad quality job. Second attempt my device most likely would not survive, so i decided to deal with professionals (Samsung).

Read moreThe so called Assistant Manager of this location isn't fit to work in the location. I went in for a Samsung Z Fold 3 warranty acreen replacement and was treated with the worst customer service I have even seen and I've worked as a retail sales manager for 25 years. First he made me feel like he really didn't want to do my repair by giving me every excuse as to why I shouldn't get the repair done. Then proceeded to look over my phone and say " OK the repair will take about 4-4 1/2 hours" so I left and came back 5 hours later only to find out that the so called assistant manager claimed that my phone was cracked and they were unable to do the repair. I explained to him that there's no way my phone was broken when I brought it in and besides he looked it over and didn't say anything about any damage, he stated that he's basically blind so he would not have seen it. I told him to stop playing and he reiterated " no I'm legally blind". I then asked him how can he work in a repair store where he's working with small part if he's legally blind? He thrn told me that his hands work fine so he's good! After that I asked for a customer service number and the managers name and he refused. He said that he would give me the number but noones name not his or the manager of the store. Unfortunately he wasn't in any type of uniform and did not have a name tag on so I couldn't tell who he was. After a few minutes of going back and forth asking for a managers he put a piece of paper o. The counter with the care phone number and tells me to wait here I'll be right back. After about 5 minutes two police offers walk in the location. That's when I realized he called the cops on me for asking for a managers name. The person doesn't need to be working in a service industry like this. My professional recommendation is he not be an assistant manager and if he's able to keep his job he is made to have an extensive customer service training. I am also asking for a personal apology for the disrespect and treatment I received from...
