I am attempting to contact someone in corporate department who handles customer complaints. On Saturday, September 12th, 2015 I shopped at your 27077 MapleValley-Black Diamond Rd SE Maple Valley, WA 98038 location. Upon checking out I explained to my cashier, Elizabeth whom had a very professional looking hickey on her neck, that I am recovering from foot surgery and needed to get home to rest. I asked her what the return policy was because I was hoping to try on the clothes at home and if any of them did not fit I wanted to know I could return them. Elizabeth informed me that I would get my money back as long as I had the receipt and the tags were not removed. I specifically asked her if I would be receiving cash or a return on my debit card and she informed me I could do whichever would be easiest for me.
Out of 12 items purchased 4 items did not fit properly and I returned to the same Maple Valley store on Sunday, September 13th 2015, about 11 in the morning to return those 4 items. The cashier was very friendly and processed my returns but then I was taken aback when she said I would be receiving my return as store credit. I expressed how an employee and informed me else wise just the night prior and that I wished to speak with a manager. I ended up speaking with Greg who appeared to have absolutely zero empathy and completely disregarded my complaints in terms of having employees of your company sell me merchandise under false pretenses. Instead of handling a customer service issue in a professional way I felt Greg was accusing me of trying to steel as he stated to me, in front of other customers in line, that he cant prove I didnt take tags off of clothes and reattach them to my clothes to try and make a quick buck!! Are you serious?? I purchased 12 items from your not even 24 hours prior and am attempting to return FOUR because YOUR EMPLOYEE assured me that I could return said items should they not suit my needs and get MY MONEY BACK AS CASH OR DEBIT provided I do so with seven days and tags are still attached.
This has been a horrible experience and as someone who was worked in retail and customer service my entire life I can not believe the lack of respect towards your customers. I asked Greg for the corporate number and he instead gave me the number to the donations...
Read moreThis is the worst goodwill I have have ever been to. I am a veteran thrift store shopper and go to anywhere between 2-6 different goodwills daily. This goodwill has the rudest manger I have ever met they price there stuff on what people are selling them for on ebay, not that they have sold for. Example. They have a set of speakers for sale with a big note they wrote on there to look up what they sell for. I did and these particular speakers sold and sell on Ebay for under 75$ a ser and they wanted over 200$. I got and showed the manager those prices and he said" someone will buy them regardless if there paying to much. So then I showed him a turntable that was missing just about all the parts to it and offered him a reasonable price for it with it missing the cartridge, head, needle, weight for stylus and dust cover along with the rubber plate mat. He declined and said" come back on pink tag day if not someone will buy it thinking there getting a good deal. So I asked him " your in the business of ripping people off thinking there getting a good deal. His reply was " yepp I gotta go now, late for a meeting. Aslo addressed this with assistant manger who said' I just follow orders even if we are ripping people off. I have already written the BBB and state attorney general's office. This goodwill should be ashamed of there...
Read moreThere are a few lady's who work weekday mornings here who are very sweet. A young (currently rainbow haired) girl named Bailey is the only one I know by name, and she is always cheery and helpful. The weekend workers are not quite as plesant. You are greeted at the door with dirty looks, the floor workers desperately try to avoid you, the cashiers don't greet you even when they appear to just be standing there waiting for someone to come through their lane, all while openly yawning through your transaction. If you try to donate... dont. I have never been treated so rudly by people receiving free things in my entire life. I can't say I blame them for their lack of interest in quality customer service; with an organization that charges so heavily for well used items, who donates next to none of their profits to charity, you would think they would pay their workers something above slave labor wages in order to give incentive to provide decent work. Sadly this is not the case. With places like St Vincent and value village around, offering quality customer service and much better merchandise and prices, I don't anticipate goodwill will be around...
