Maplewood Museum- Events — Attraction in Maplewood

I've been meaning to write this review since my wedding in September but ya know, life! Bruentrup was everything I hoped for and more for our wedding! The barn was gorgeous, the house was so fun to get ready in for the girls and the lower level was a blast for the guys to get ready in. Tricia was absolutely amazing, she thought of literally everything, even things that we didn't know we wanted! She was quick to respond to all of my questions and concerns and I appreciated that we had a final meeting to go over all details. Our flowers were delivered a day early for some reason and she made sure to get them in water and stored right away so they kept their beauty until the wedding, which they did. She recommended a bar service that was awesome and super fun along with a great tent rental for our bar and buffet to be under, outside. The staff set everything up and it was absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't have done it better myself. Tear down was also included which was amazing because I sure as heck didn't want to do it after the party. Do not book your wedding here! We initially booked the venue through Tricia, a third party vendor, and she took our deposit and monthly payments. We payed over 3000 and those payments were never given to the venue . The venue never got our contract and our day was not reserved. We still decided to book the venue for our wedding. The wedding just passed last week and we are still waiting to get our money back to repay the venue. We were also not happy with Amy, the new event planner/ day of coordinator. She was supposed to be there to pick up trash, put out snacks and make sure that everything goes to schedule. Halfway through the party she disappeared and she showed up at the very end. She was supposed to gather all the decor and things so we can leave with the guests but that was not the case. We were getting rushed and kicked out so even our guests had to help us clean up. I got married here back in September of 2023. The day was beautiful, the up keep to the property has blossomed. Amy, the event coordinator is fantastic to work with. She did so much on the day of the wedding and ensured it was perfect for my husband and I.

I give many kudos to Amy, there were some things that happened that were completely out of her control and she stepped right in and made sure that we, as the couple, had everything we wanted. She was completely responsive to my very specific requests. She has made many positive changes to the barn, making it the most perfect venue for special events.
