The Vitamin Shoppe — Local services in Maplewood

Having worked in retail, I know that last-minute customers who show up right when the store is about to close, can be a real pain. Today, I called the Maplewood, MN location to ask the sales associate what would be the easiest way to place an order, knowing that my friend was on his way and may arrive close to closing time. The sales associate asked what it was I was looking for and instructed me to visit the website and place the order; in the meantime, he would prepare the order and wait for my friend's arrival. My friend showed up at 7pm (the store closed at 7pm), but true to his word, the sales associate ran right out to hand deliver the order. Wow! Talk about amazing customer service!! Too often in the retail industry, we hear about poor customer service. However, my friend and I want to extend our gratitude to this worker for going out of his way to make our experience exceptional. Every time I come here I am treated like a criminal by Manager Jeff. He is constantly following me around the store standing next to me and asking if I need help. I have even caught him peering over shelves and behind them to see what I am doing. He even takes it as far as going in the back to look at the cameras. Every time I go here I forget to get what I came here for which usually always something for my kid. And when I am looking at womens vaginal health products I prefer to be left alone! Instead of feeling uncomfortable. I am a paying customer and a rewards member, I always pay with cash and donate to their causes. I stopped going to this store yrs ago bc of the service. Bc I can not walk far, chose your again hopping the service would be different (better). It was not. There was one other customer in the store. One employee was helping her. I knew what I wanted. But didn't know where to find it. I polightly asked the guy on the floor to point me in the right direction. So I could find what I needed and get out.

Finally I took 3 bottles up to checkout. The guy was oblivious to what I needed. He was ready to ring me up and get rid of me. Still no other costumers on store. Next he wanted to sell a membership, next he wanted me to buy a larger size. But never interested in what I wanted. I don't think...
