My fiance and I looked around many other local jewelry stores for an engagement ring and had bad after bad experience-too pushy, not knowledgeable, or even so incredibly rude and uncaring that we left each one disappointed and dejected...definitely not the type of experience you want when buying such an important and meaningful piece of jewelry. We ended up traveling two hours to the cities after running out of local options and this was the first store we stopped at, which also ended up being the last! Steve and Melissa greeted us and treated us like VIPs and like family. We could tell they were genuinely excited for our engagement and truly wanted to make the ring shopping process the very best experience they possibly could.
We had a decently long list of 'must-haves' like style, diamond quality, and budget considerations, which clearly frustrated other jewerly stores we had been to, but Steve and Melissa were excited for the challenge and took the time to actually listen to our preferences and find rings that aligned with our wishlist. They didn't overstep or push sales at any time. They gave us plenty of time to try on many, many rings and gave the two of us space to speak privately when we needed to. They were extremely patient and kind, and made our experience so special! We didn't necessarily intend on committing to anything there, but they ended up finding us the PERFECT ring that was exactly what we were looking for! When I tried it on and got happy tears in my eyes, they both hugged me like they were my own family! They even let my fiance and I use a private room for as long as we wanted so we could speak to each other alone about the decision before purchasing.
I would highly recommend shopping here for any kind of jewelry, but the experience we had for our engagement ring was unmatched. We are so grateful we happened across this Jared and had the pleasure of working with Steve and Melissa!    Read more2017August31st - I'm here at the Maplewood Jared's and there are 3 workers on the floor, all helping customers; been here for over 20 minutes to pick up a ring (a 90-second transaction). When one of the employees was done with a couple, I asked if he (or if there was someone that) could help one of us with a yellow pick-up slip (a very obvious indication of a pick-up, which seemed like a great idea to identify what a customer was there for) before they got into a much-longer situation with one of the couples without a yellow pick-up slip. He explained that he's real sorry but they must go in order of when people arrive (which seems like a fair idea...in general), but I explained that my (and another lady's) transaction would be 90 seconds at most, and then he could get back to the couples who were picking out jewelry. He apologized again and said that's not how they do it and someone would get to me after the others were helped first. He wasn't a jerk (which is why I gave 3 stars) and I can respect the attempt at fairness, but the illogical customer-service of it all was pretty frustrating. Nobody wanted to rush the couples looking at their jewelry choices, but a customer shouldn't have to wait over a half hour to pick up a ring; a transaction that literally took 64 seconds just now (yep, I'm in my car now, finishing this review). I'm disappointed that there's not a yellow-slip policy or a quick check-in-with-a-yellow-slip-customer-to-see-if-theyre-just-picking-up-and-there-arent-any-questions-to-deal-with policy to get them out of the store so they can spend their time on the customers who need their help. Am I being unreasonable with this just because I was the one trying to pick up a ring that was ready? I dunno; I'm probably biased at the moment. I won't be back to this location....there's gotta be some place that understands what I'm trying to say, right? Maybe I'll be back to let you know my expectations are too high and this location is the best we have to work with. May your Jared's experiences be better than...
