Hobby Lobby — Local services in Maplewood

Love the merchandise, rude employee. Went to hobby lobby and when we got ready to check out, the lady had us move to another register, we waited and waited, the 1 customer in front of us was taking some time, which was fine, but after the cashier finished with her the female said you can move over to the other register, that was the one I was at first! When my sister tried to check out she had some picture frames that were marked clearance and the sign stated "50% off marked price" picture frames. The rude woman said "no that is not for clearance. I stated " that's not what the sign said" and believe me I looked!! And so did my husband! She said " well I'm sorry. At this time I am still in line were she told me to go in the first place, so I just picked up my purse and said "I'm not moving again" I have severe back problems and my sister is disabled, why should we as customers keep being moved when we are already in line so they can count a till? The customers should have been checked out first OR had enough registers open to avoid doing this to customers! I have purchased a lot of stuff from hobby lobby and so has all my family, but now I will have to go to micheals....

I hate writing negative reviews, but after my experience yesterday, I believe this is necessary. After work I decided to pick up some wedding supplies at Hobby Lobby since they were having a sale. I usually go to the one in Woodbury, but Maplewood was closer to my work. This was my first mistake. First of all, I don't love the layout of Maplewood. All of the place with the wall decor and too compact. But this isn't why I am leaving a review. I am leaving this review because of how I felt after leaving the store. The workers I had encountered were passive aggressive Minnesota Nice rude if you get what I mean. Saying demeaning things in a nice tone. Making me feel stupid because I wasn't as old as them. You would think for a company with strong christian values they would hire people who are at least kind to their customers, no matter the age. I felt very discouraged leaving and I will not be coming back to this Hobby Lobby. I love the company and the things they sell, but it is not worth it at...

Horrible customer service. Found a couple items that I wanted and it clearly said on the signs that it was on sale. When I was rung up at the register the first cashier said it was not on sale and I didn't save any money. I kindly paid and walk out with my purchase items. I remember online as well it was on sell. Walked back into the store and asked if there was a difference between online and in store. The ASSISTANT MANAGER apparently said both my items weren't on sale and there is a difference online and in store. She went back to look at one of the items and called the cashier that she was wrong and I right that she apologise. I ended up returning the other item because she said it wasn't on sell without checking the sign. Ended up calling Woodbury Hobby Lobby and the Assistant Manager there said it was on sell. I am livid and I will not be returning to the Maplewood Hobby Lobby. I will also let my family and friends know to not go...
