Aldi is always our first stop when grocery shopping. Almost everything they sell is of equal or better quality than Cub, Target, Walmart, etc including the produce, but many times 1/2 the price. Example: a pint of blueberries at Cub was $5, at Aldi it was $1.69. A can of GOOD spaghetti sauce is $4 at Target and $2 at Aldi (they also have Ragu quality for $1). Aldi's cereal is their brand, but better for most types than name brand and less that 1/2 the price. Cheese and deli meat is just as good and much less at Aldi. Milk, eggs, creamer, yogurt all are at least 25% less at Aldi. The pesto is excellent and 1/2 the price. Bread is never $4.59 a loaf, like at Target. Aldi also has a lot of varieties that you can't find at other stores. They don't have high-end cuts of meat, but chicken breasts and hamburger vost 65% of what they do elsewhere. Aldi is not the place to get a ribeye or thick pork chops, but the basics are good. Yes, they are much smaller and don't have 200 types of each thing, but concentrate on the most popular types. We have found that we can get 90% of what we need here and go to Cub or Costco for certain beverages, vegetables, meat. Also, did I mention the "Aisle of Shame"? Random, non-food items that change frequently and we always need (want) something there. Aldi...
Read moreWe love shopping at Aldi they have a nice selection of grocery items allowing you to save money. The products they choose to carry are good. like any store you need to watch the price because they will fluctuate week to week. Produce prices are generally good however you need to look at it. I have gotten food home before and found some of it starting to go bad or does go bad in a day or two. I love the new products they are always trying out, however if you like it buy a few because it might not be available next week. Aldi customer service online is great they often send product suggestions on to their buyers. I generally think about the needs and wants of their customers. Aldi's is a great place to get your Staples. Thanks for being a great option for families with small kids trying to get the biggest value for the...
Read moreMostly good stuff, with a mix of name brands and in-house brands. Some of the in-house brands are quite good, and can save you a lot of money. They generally have very good quality produce, and staples like bread, milk and eggs, etc. Their seasonal items are sometimes quite interesting. Bring a quarter to get a cart, which is returned to you when you return the cart. One way the keep costs down is you do have to bag your own items after the checkout. They've recently added self-checkout to some locations. It's OK for quick trips with a few items, but employing a cashier is still faster and more efficient for when you have more items - they are pros at doing it! If you find favorite items, you may want to stock up as some are seasonal and only are in stock at certain times of the year (e.g. my...
