Today, February 6th 2015 around 6p.m or so my oldest son wanted to take his family out to eat. His family consist of four siblings, myself (Mom), Stepdad and Grandmother So all together there was a family of Eight. I ordered a Starter Platter (Three Orders) to get us going while we got our order together and waited for our food. With our Platters, We received our drinks that consist of, Three Mello Yello's, one Lemonade, three Sprites and one Orange juice. My daughter was the only one that got a lemonade. We ate the platter and was now sipping on our drinks and chatting. We were also now waiting on our food to come.
In the mist of sipping and chatting, My daughter got our attention and informed us that there was a bug floating in her drink. I was instantly DISGUSTED. We all started to search our drinks to see if we had something floating in our drinks. God FORBID that my two youngest children had a bug in their drink because they'd drink it all. their cups had lids over them. No one else seen anything floating because A. Their drinks were gone already or B. They didn't pay attention. I search my drink and low and behold...something was ALSO floating in my drink!
By this time we are ALL DISGUSTED and ready to go. My fiance goes to get the manager and when she finally came to our table, she asked what the problem was. I let her know what the issue was and she mentioned that they were cleaning the drink machine in the back and that she thought she got it all out...???...Then she goes on to say, "I seen them in there earlier BUT I thought I cleaned them all out". WHAT!!! "Seen what?", I asked her, "The BUGS!". She says "Yeah". ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME!!! and she was the manager. Our Hosts already had an attitude from the moment we walked in and was seated. Her name was Clorissa or Corissa-something like that.
The manager did however discount the food for the poor service but that was after I had to tell her that the way they handled things were very UN-sanitized and nasty. And not to mention that my whole family was there to eat. How can you see some BUGS and assume that you cleaned the machine. That meant for extra cleaning and sanitation. Myself and my fiance use to frequent this Perkins and we have NEVER received any service so damn BAD! The people they have their now are irresponsible, DIRTY and RUDE! the host that we had as well was being really rude when we were leaving. She was so worried about whether we paid for the Platters or not. She DID NOT care that there were BUGS in our drinks! The manager DID admit to seeing bugs in the machine. The host (Who is bald headed and wear big hoop earrings) was very delusional and acted oblivious about the whole thing.
When I was out the door, she said...behind my back (that I did not hear) "Are you mad?". YOU DAMN RIGHT I'M MAD! Myself and my family had to go to THREE different restaurants before we made the decision to go to Perkins. My daughter actually let me know that the host made such comment. I wanted to show her how mad I was but she stayed in the back while the manager and every other employee talked for her. The CUSTOMERS are ALWAYS right! and that host needs to understand and realize that. We were naturally eating at, Chili's-they were packed! We went to Buffalo Wild Wings-they were packed and they were all watching Hockey. We went to TGI Fridays-PACKED! So Perkins was NOT our first choice. We only went because all the GOOD restaurants were full and had a 30-45 minute wait. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to eat at this Perkins. The service is BAD. The hosts are RUDE and their food is TAINTED. If we get SICK we are SUING!
I will be CONTACTING the Better Business Bureau and OSHA! that was...
Read moreNo Stars ... all negative sorry not sorry.. I was not happy with my experience at this perkins, My family and I have started going to the restaurant in vandis heights, the overall visit was very disappointing the lack communication between the servers and what comes on the food... my mom ordered a pot pie to go and it look like someone slapped the pie in the face and spit on jt then put it in the to go containers. the server calls the manager and said thats how it’s served when its to go.. but we still had to pay for the salad oven though it looked way past it expiration date. Also to go onto the manager she seemed very upset with us from the very beginning. Because each customer she talk to she didn’t have a loud voice but when she seem to talk to wash you want to talk loud and speak over us while we were trying to talk to her about our concerns with our food and also when we went up to pace just left the receipt with the pen in front of us so can you sign this and then you are good to go what I understand you guys are busy but there’s a certain way you handle busy situations with customers that are frustrated with the service that they’re being experience to I don’t know her name I don’t want to say her name out of respect for her and also the server but it was just very disappointing. The server had very dirty nails seem like she was not sure what was going on she did not know what was on the menu if they had strawberry pie or not come to the park and plenty of times and had good experience after at least 6 o’clock but in the morning he tried to come for breakfast the fortune to come cold it’s almost like the food been sitting there the server seemed not focused on one customer they bring the food out without the trade to hit touch the phone with their hands almost made me sick .. other than that we enjoyed our water. but just on the lookout for anybody reading this review watch out for the manager that has allowed boys she’s very I don’t know how to explain it but her attitude isn’t the best towards customers which is very upbeat and very I’m going but her attitude seems very negative toward certain people and the server was very confuse what she was serving us she was coming back-and-forth saying oh you don’t know what’s on the menu I just came out of your strawberry pie but yeah the water was good I mean we had our own lemonade to bring because sometimes we come to this restaurant we watch what happens and it’s very dirty in that store I don’t know why I took a peek in the kitchen the kitchen looks on mop the stations look dirty if you go to work somewhere it’s shouldn’t be difficult to keep And area cleared the manager needs to focus more on the plane in cleanse Lena’s en and area cleared the manager needs to focus more on The cleanliness of the store and making sure the servers are prepared for their shift because his manager do even look...
Read moreI would have loved to leave a 5 star review because of our amazing server, Brejean. She was one of only two servers on tonight, yet she handled our group with great attentiveness, friendliness, and accuracy while staying cool, calm, and collected under what I know must have been a lot of stress. Drinks stayed refilled, food orders came out perfectly. (Props to the kitchen staff as well for the great meal!) She had a smile on her face along with a pleasant, welcoming demeanor during our entire visit.
Unfortunately, the assistant manager Chris was much less than wonderful. Upon arriving with our party, he was very short with us which honestly made me nervous about our visit in the first place. For a second I felt like just leaving, but figured we were already there, so we might as well stick it out. And I'm glad we stayed because, I'll say again, our server made the experience very pleasant. When we were ready to leave, we made our way to the front to pay our tab. I asked to add a few desserts to our tab to take home with us. Chris snapped at me about needing my receipt for the meal before he could help me. His attitude was unprofessional and quite frankly, rude. I understand being frustrated about being understaffed. I understand being stressed out. I work in a restaurant. I get it. I REALLY do. But it's extremely off-putting to have the first and last person that I see at a restaurant act in a manner that makes me feel as if they wish I wasn't there. Especially when it's a manager. Part of being on the management team at a restaurant should be knowing how to act with grace towards your guests and make them feel welcomed instead of making them feel like a burden or an inconvenience.
I'm not looking for any kind of compensation or a gift card or anything like that, literally the only things I ask of the GM if he or she reads this are:
